There you sat, smiling at the happily married couple as they shared their first dance. "Y'know what Ajak would say to you right now?" Sersi asks, sitting next to you. You raise an eyebrow at her
"She'd try to comfort me" You admit. Sersi nods
"She'd also tell you to put your fifth drink down" She laughs softly and takes the glass away from you.
You sigh "I know it's just-"
"A broken heart is a small price to pay when you're not the one who has to pay it?" She asks, looking at you concerned
You nod "But it's worth it as long as he's happy" You glance at Druig and Makkari, noticing his beautiful smile
'Even if it's not with me' You think to yourself
Sersi places her hand on top of yours "We're all here for you, even Druig and Makkari"
"I know" you give her a slight smile "Thanks Sersi"
The rest of the night passed by in a blur. Reminiscing thoughts flooded your brain - moments with him. Both spoken about and those that remained unspoken; from shared secrets to silly moments. All you wanted was to see him happy and he was happy with her
