Elderon came carrying on his older brother into the infirmary. "Lay him on the bed!," Aurelius instructed, "He's struggling to breathe," Elderon lay down his brother gently on the bed. "Rachel, fetch me some water and towel," Aurelius said and Rachel soon came running back with water and a towel. "He's burning up," Aurelius sighed. "You can cure him, can't you, Aurelius?," Melinda asked panicking. "I can't until I know what's wrong with him," Aurelius explained, and he grabbed the towel dipped it in the water and gently moved it on his son's feverish forehead. Samira studied her son's body that was sweating due to his fever. She then noticed a mark on her son's left wrist. "Aurelius!," she said alarmingly. Aurelius walked over to his wife and looked at the mark. "Is it what I think?," Samira looked up at her husband and back down at Gwydion. Elderon and Rachel could hear the fear in their mother's voice. "It's The Mark of Cedric," Aurelius explained with a sigh. "What does that mean?," Melinda asked worriedly. "If he's marked, there's nothing we can do to stop him," Aurelius sighed deeply. "Stop him from what!?," Elderon exclaimed as he looked at his father. "To turn Gwydion to the darkness," Samira sighed. Elderon looked worriedly at his mother. "Is there anything we can do?," he asked worriedly. Aurelius shook his head sadly. "I don't know, actually," he explained sadly. "Christian...," Gwydion started whispering Christian's name in his sleep as the last time he was in a familiar condition like this. "Gwydion?," Melinda sat down by her husband's bedside. "No... Get out of my head...," Gwydion whispered weakly. Melinda looked up at Aurelius and Samira who swallowed worriedly. "Gwydion, can you hear me?," Melinda said worriedly. Gwydion made no response to her words, only continued mumbling "Christian" in his sleep. "We should leave him for a while," Aurelius said suddenly, "Maybe his condition has changed in the morning. There's nothing more we can do right now but wait and see what tomorrow brings," Melinda looked down at Gwydion who had now stopped whispering things in his sleep. Maybe she should tell Gwydion about the thing that he is seeing Christian's spirit. Maybe that is a reason he's in the condition he is now.
Aurelius blew out the candle by his son's bedside in the infirmary after seeing if there was any changes to his son's condition, which it wasn't. He gently squeezed out the sweat and water of the towel on his son's feverish forehead before dipping it in fresh cold water and placing it back on his son's forehead before leaving the room, closing the door behind him. But they did not know that they would meet a terrible surprise next day.
Gwydion lay in the infirmary bed when the fever and mysterious sickness started fading away. Cedric watched Gwydion with a wicked smile on his lips as he watched him through his magical mirror. "Your first task has come, my dear wizard," he began in an evil voice, "You must kill the King of Westrose and Chandara," And he let out a wicked chuckle.
Gwydion who lay in his bed in the infirmary opened his eyes and smiled wickedly. "As you wish, Master," he said as he sat up, "I shall kill the King,"
