Gwydion entered the great dining hall much to everyone's joy. Gwydion sat down beside Melinda. "We're so glad you're feeling better, Gwydion," Harmony smiled. Gwydion looked at Harmony and Aranel. "I've never felt better," he smiled. As soon as Harmony and Aranel had left the hall, Gwydion turned to his Father. "Father, what is the strongest poison you process?," he asked. Everyone looked at each other, confused over Gwydion's question and Aurelius looked at his wife in concern before turning back to his eldest son suspiciously, "Why the question?," he asked. Gwydion looked at his father. "I... had this great opportunity to lace some bandits food with poison and nothing to do it with," he said as he walked over to the bag with his father's potions. "Well, that would be Darkshade. It's the most dangerous and lethal poison in the whole Shivanna. Especially if it used with magic," he explained. "Darkshade," Gwydion mumbled for himself as he looked through his father's potions. "Ah!," he said and grabbed the bottle that said "Darkshade" and he turned towards his father. "I should bring with some of this from now on," Gwydion explained, "You never know when you might need to kill someone," And he left the hall. "Indeed," Aurelius muttered for himself. "Why would Gwydion need poison?," Elderon asked confused, "He barely uses his magic anymore since Christian died," "It is very strange, indeed," Aurelius sighed.
Gwydion stood by a silver plate that Aranel's chicken lunch with vegetables lay on and he pulled out the big bottle with Darkshade and held some of the black liquid on Aranel's food and took the silver plate and walked out of the kitchen.
He walked through the corridor when one of Aranel's knights, knight Robin showed up before him. "That smells nice!," he said as he tried to take some food. "This is food for the King of Westrose and Chandara! And it's not to be touched by your filthy fingers!," Gwydion explained irritatingly. And he passed him, Robin looking at him confused.
Gwydion reached Aranel's and Harmony's chambers and was about to enter the door when he saw Aranel and Harmony who had just put down Aranel's plate with chicken lunch before him. "Thank you, Harmony, my love," Aranel said, "This is very kind of you," Gwydion looked towards them in disgust. "Oh! I might have known," he said. "Hello, Gwydion!," Aranel smiled towards his wizard friend. "What's this?," Gwydion asked. Aranel looked at the wizard and glanced down at his food. "Uh, lunch," he began confused. Gwydion turned towards Harmony. "I know you want to take every opportunity to be by your husband, the king's side, but this is just getting ridiculous," he said cruelly, "You'll be pouring his bath water next," Harmony looked at him shocked and hurt by the wizard's words. "Gwydion, is something wrong?," Aranel asked in concern. "This is what's wrong!," Gwydion snapped and pointed at the plate. "I just arranged a good meal for me and my husband," Harmony said, "And I thought you needed some rest," "Rest? No, I don't need rest," Gwydion explained, "Do you know how long it took for me to prepare this meal? I cooked it myself," And he picked up the plate before Christian. "I think this is just a simple misunderstanding," Aranel said and took back the plate Harmony had made for him. "Yes, you would take her side, wouldn't you?," Gwydion sourly crossed his arms. "Excuse me?," Aranel asked shocked, "Gwydion, I think you must be tired. You've recently been through quite an ordeal," "I just want to resume my normal duties," he clarified slowly. Aranel crookedly nodded his head. "Well, I'll be pleased to have your assistance for the knighting ceremony later," he explained as he handed him the plate with food Gwydion had brought. "Thank you, Sire," Gwydion said. He walked over towards the door, glancing towards Aranel and Harmony before leaving the chambers.
Gwydion walked down the citadel town with the tray with Aranel's food before throwing it aside into the pigs farm.
Gwydion walked back and forth in the great hall. "Gwydion, are you alright?," Aurelius asked his son worriedly. "I—I'm pacing," Gwydion said. "Yes, we can see that," Aurelius pointed out. "A man who's "all right" does not pace, Father," Gwydion explained shortly. "No, well, that's why I asked," Aurelius said. Gwydion sighed as he continued pacing. "I'm wrestling with a problem," he explained, "And there are many factors to take into consideration, and I have yet to come up with a solution," Aurelius looked up at his son gently. "Can we be of assistance?," he asked. Gwydion chuckled and shook his head. "No," he said shortly. Aurelius looked at his son. "Sometimes two heads are better than one," he pointed out. Gwydion looked at his father and nodded. "Yes!," he said, "but not any of those are yours," And he left the hall for the armoury.
