The Kraken awoke from its deep slumber in its cave.. A voice called out to it, "Wake up, Kraken. I sense a disturbance in the sea." The Kraken, once sleepy and drowsy, snapped awake. "What?!" it screamed, sending a strong ripple through the ocean.
Korra could feel that ripple.
The Kraken's master stepped out. It was Davy Jones, a half-human, half-octopus monster. His face was contorted in his anger. The tentacles on his face twitched, like how a human's eye would.
"How? No one has ever survived my attacks. Except..." the Kraken mumbled, lost deep in thought. His mind drifted to that one night. Where... a little girl. Ran away in a boat. He knew what he had to do.
"Master, I know what happened. A little girl..." the Kraken stopped mid sentence. He could sense his master's rage. "YOU WHAT?!?!?!?!!? YOU LET SOMEONE SURVIVE YOUR ATTACKS!?!!!!!!!!!!??"
"I'm... sorry... master..." the Kraken may be a vile monster to humans, but to its master, it is a disposable creature. It knew better than to mess with his master.
"YOU ARE A DISGRACE! GET OUT! YOU CANNOT COME BACK UNTIL YOU KILL THAT GIRL! OR ELSE!" Davy Jones shouted in a fury that was worse than that of Darth Vader's.
Davy Jones stepped into the dim moonlight illuminating the cave.
The Kraken took a step back.
Davy Jones unsheathed his sword from his belt.
The Kraken cowered back in fear.
With one swing of his sword, Davy Jones slashed at the Kraken's left eye. Blood poured out. Putting his sword back into his belt, he growled in a deathly low voice, "You're lucky I don't kill you this time. Fail me one last time, and your head will be hung on my wall. Understood? Now go away and never come back until you have the girl's head."
The Kraken nodded its head frantically, pressing one slimy tentacle to the new, fresh wound right next to its left eye. And it left the cave. Its only home.
Its eyes started to flicker yellow and orange, the colours of hate and anger. Its tentacles started to glow red and swelled up. It would find the girl. And end her.
