Breakfast was ready, a fresh plate of neatly washed and cut fruits, waffles with some strawberry jam, and a cup of smoothie. Soobin was seated and ready, waiting for his wife to join him. He looked as calm and serious as ever on the outside, but underneath, his fingers were drumming nervously against his leg.

He had never done something before, and he wasn't exactly sure how Ryujin would react. But, he had taken a little advice from Yeonjun for his cooking a simple breakfast and went with it.

Yeonjun had so many ideas, and he decided to give this one a try. The clothes one didn't work; maybe because Soobin's daily work attire simply didn't consist of regular shirts. He would never wear animal print or graphic tees (the most he did was make Ryujin laugh when he walked out with one).

"Morning."

Soobin looked up to smile at his wife. "Good morning," he cheerily returned.

She kissed his cheek before taking her place next to him. Saying their thanks for food, they dug in. Well, Ryujin did. Soobin felt queasy, thinking about what he was about to ask, So, he settles for staring at his wife as she ate as he tried to calm his nerves.

Ryujin noticed him looking and paused, "What's wrong?" she asked, concerned. "You look pale, are you sick?"

Soobin shook his head. "I'm alright." He removed his hands from under the table to fold them on top of his still empty plate. "Actually, I wanted to ask you something."

Ryujin nodded. "Sure, what is it?"

He swallowed the lump in his throat as subtly as he could before finally saying, "I was thinking that maybe we can go on holiday..... maybe a weekend getaway?"

He took a deep breath. "A second honeymoon? What do you think?"

On her seat, Ryujin froze a piece of waffle hanging from her fork as she looked at Soobin, startled.

"A-A holiday?" she repeated. She didn't seem as thrilled with the proposal as Soobin initially thought she would be.

"Why?" she asked.

Soobin shrugged. "Why not? We haven't done anything as a couple in a while and... Well.... I was thinking...." He placed his hands under the table again, feeling them begin to twitch with nerves. "Maybe. we can.. try for a baby again?"

No sooner had he spoken it than Ryujin flinched and Soobin wished that he had kept his mouth shut.

Slowly, his wife placed her utensils back on the table. "Soobin.." she started before taking a deep sigh. "Did you forget what the doctor said?' He said it might be more difficult for us than the typical couple but not impossible," Soobin said, quickly. "And think of our parents, they really want grandchildren-."

"Soobin!" Ryujin's voice was hard and cold, silencing him.

He stared at his wife as she frostily glared at her plate. "I don't want to get my hopes up and have it crushed again," she said, bitingly. "Let's face it. I'm not meant to carry a child. I accepted it a long time ago. It's time you do the same."
