The office was tidy and orderly. The documents and files were all organized and put away. The last of his staff waved goodbye as they exited the door.

Yeonjun locked the door before heading up to his office. A stack of cash, checks, and piles of documents cluttered his desk. Sighing, he got to work with counting and calculating the day's transactions. It took him an hour to count, calculate, and record everything, and by the time he was done, he was ready to pack up and go home to his empty apartment. Safely locking the money and important documents in the safe, the real estate owner grabbed his things and headed back down to the office.

Just as he was about to turn off all the lights, a lone figure outside caught his eye. His first instinct was to be wary. He was all alone at the office, and if it was a robber, he would have to protect himself and call the police. Slowly, he walked towards the door and peeked outside.

His eyes widened, and he yanked the door open. The figure outside jumped, startled at the sudden noise.

For a moment, they simply looked at each other in silence. Yeonjun's eyes ran over the figure, wondering if he was dreaming or if his delusions had somehow made their way to real life.

Finally, the figure spoke. "Hi, Yeonjun." Yeonjun swallowed as he tried to maintain his composure and stop himself from jumping at the figure.

"Hi, Soobin," he greeted back, subdued, feeling too many emotions at once.

One, he was happy because Soobin was back!

But he was also angry because he hadn't spoken to Yeonjun in a month.

Then, he felt relieved because Soobin was safe and not lying dead in a ditch somewhere.

Suddenly, he grew worried because what if Soobin was there to end things between them?

"Um... I was hoping to make it to dinner, but I got held up at the office, so I guess I was too late," Soobin said sheepishly.

"No," Yeonjun replied, too quickly, and he blushed a bit. "You're not too late. Um... do you want to come over for dinner? I can cook for you."

Soobin perked up. "Really? Is that okay? It's pretty late, and you must be tired from work." He looked so worried and shy that Yeonjun couldn't stop himself from smiling.

"I am not tired," Yeonjun said softly, unable to take his eyes off Soobin. "Let's go."

They stepped out into the cool evening air, walking side by side towards Soobin's car. The streets were quiet, with most shops closed, and the gentle hum of the city at night created a serene backdrop.

As they reached the car, Soobin unlocked it, and they both got in. The drive to Yeonjun's apartment was filled with a comfortable silence, broken only by the soft sound of the car's engine and the occasional exchange of glances.

Yeonjun couldn't help but think about how much he had missed Soobin. Every moment away from him had felt like an eternity. The way Soobin's presence filled the car with warmth made Yeonjun's heart ache with a mixture of relief and longing. He had missed this—missed them.

They stole glances at each other, shy smiles playing on their lips, their unspoken words hanging in the air.

As they pulled up to Yeonjun's apartment building, Yeonjun felt a surge of nervous excitement. He led Soobin inside, unlocking the door and stepping aside to let him enter first. The familiarity of the place, coupled with Soobin's presence, made everything feel right again.

"Um, sit anywhere you like. I'll be right back," Yeonjun said, trying to calm his racing heart.

"Can I help with anything?" Soobin asked.
