Chapter 8 - Youre the one...

When the three had arrived at Hinagikus house Hinagiku began to wonder why Maria had come along. They chatted and laughed simply had fun that night. Maria had fallen asleep on the couch. Hinagiku had dragged herself to her room passing out on the bed. There stood Hayate looking at Maria before sighing. “It's not that late Maria... ” he said beginning to pick her up.

Hayates POV
“She's much lighter than I thought..... where should I lay her down....” I thought to myself. I had no other choice but to put her in my room. “Oh well....I need some fresh air Anyway...” I thought to myself. As I walked up the stairs I heard Hinagikus mom walk in. After I set Maria down on my bed I began to walk downstairs.

Hinagikus mom was making coffee when I had walked into the kitchen. “How was your day?” I asked her. She poured some coffee into two cups handing me one before she replied. “It's been a long day sometimes I feel like I'm going to pass out.” I took a sip of coffee before sitting down at the table. Hinagikus mom sat down in front of me. “So how was your day Hayate-kun? ” she asked me. In a way I felt as if I could finally tell someone the truth. “Another girl confessed to me....I'm getting tired of this romance thing.... I just want to live a peaceful life.” I said without any hesitation.

Normal POV (Sorry I suck at any other POV but third person )

The two sat there drinking coffee. Hinagikus mother had not forgotten his statement. “You know Hayate, love is a delicate and deadly thing it can drive someone mad or make them the happiest person in the world. It's up to you who you pick. No matter what they do or try to do ,in the end you have to make the call. ” she said breaking the silence. Hayate remained silent hearing the statement. Hinagikus mother stood up patting Hayate on the back. “Just don't do something cliche like running away for three years or something Alright? ” she asked Hayate. Hayate laughed a little before replying. “Im not That Cliche.” he said drinking the last of his coffee.

Hayate walked outside looking up at the stars. At the same time Ayumu was walking past Hinagikus house. “Yo Hayate ” she said waving at him. Hayate grew pale thinking another girl was here to confess to him. “Hey ayu.” he replied opening the gate for her. She gave him a hug before running towards the bench on the porch. Hayate slowly began to die fearing what was next. “Hayate I'm here to help with your love problems. ” she said giving Hayate relief knowing there wasn't gonna be a confession.  Hayate walked over to her sitting next to her.

Ayumu gave Hayate a smile. “So your a ladies man now? ” she asked in a polite tone. “I wish I wasn't... ” Hayate replied in a somewhat depressed tone. Ayumu noticed how sadly he replied. She pinched his cheek pulling towards her. “Cheer up already! Ill pull harder if you don't! ” she yelled pulling his cheek harder. “Ow ow ow ow ow ow I get it ow! ” Hayate yelled in pain. Ayumu let go of his cheek seeing if he was a little better now. “So how can you help me with my love problem.. ” Hayate asked rubbing his now bright red cheek. Ayumu suddenly turned serious. “Listen to your heart! Forget what any of them said just think about them and what they have done for you. Think about the time before any of this happened. Who was there for you? Who had your back? Who made you feel a certain way? Nobody can answer that but you. Do you understand? ” she said giving Hayate a serious stare. Hayate remained silent closing his eyes. He began to think about what happened between him and every one of the girls.

“Maria.... she was always there for me....She's kind and sweet...in fact she would make a perfect wife...when She's mad She's like satans daughter...” Hayate thought to himself. He took in a deep breath as memories of him and Maria played out before him. One of those memories was when he and Maria first met in the bathhouse. He remember seeing Maria naked and blushing extremely red. Another memorie was when he accidentally said “Maria when youre fixing my tie It's almost like were husband and wife.” After that Maria nearly chocked him with the tie.
