Chapter 10 - Explaining Everything

Hello as promised once this story reached 500 views I would give you an explanation on what exactly happened to Hayate. Sorry this is literally coming out so late, just ibhad problems with wattpad, and its new update.

After a while, everyone decided, Hayate was simply just Hinagiku's little fantasy boyfriend. She decided maybe it really was just a dream, or delusion she had, but that wasn't the case.

After another long day of class, and work Hinagiku walked into her apartment, ready to pass out. "Oh god...why was the café so busy today! I miss the peaceful days when not many people stopped by..." she mumbled to herself. She sat down on her bed, slowly removing her boots. After removing her boots she removed her clothing, now she was just in her underwear and bra. She then put on her usual pink pajamas then lied down on her bed, pulling the covers over herself.

As she began to dose off, she felt a slight breeze come from the right where her window was. She looked over to see a man dressed in all black, bright blue hair, and baby blue eyes; sitting on her open window. She instantly panicked not caring she was in her pajamas, her heart raced as she reached for her old kendo stick she kept as a maomento from highschool. She pointed it at the man, her hands shaking and her heart racing. "Who are you?!" she asked in a somewhat panicked tone. The man laughed a bit still sitting on the window. "You know that's kinda harsh, after all we did go out, even if it was only for a few hours. " The man said as he jumped into the room walking towards Hinagiku. "Went out?! I've never had a boyfriend! Pervert!!!" she yelled as she swung the blade towards the man.

The man grabbed the blade just before it hit his face. "Hinagiku-San its dangerous to swing this around." he said with a sigh. She dropped the kendo stick stepping back slowly. The man sighed as he grabbed Hinagiku's wrists pulling her into a deep kiss. To Hinagiku's surprise she enjoyed the kiss, as if she wanted to do this with the man for a while. The two pulled away. "Come on Hinagiku, remember me....Hayate?" he asked giving her a polite smile.

Hinagiku's eyes widened. "Hayate?...." she mumbled dropping the kendo stick. She began to tremble even more taking steps back away from the man. "Y-...You-.....Th-....That.... Can't....b- .....be...." she said confused and shocked. "You're lying! Hayate never existed!!!" she yelled at Hayate. Hayate signed. "If I didn't exist I wouldn't be here right now." he said, pulling out something from his pocket. "I'll yell rape!" she yelled. "You're already yelling..." Hayate said with a blank expression tossing what he just pulled out of his pocket towards Hinagiku. Hinagiku looked at it seeing it was a Manga. Across the cover was Hayate, Nagi, and Maria with the words. "Hayate No Gotoku!!" written in kanji across the top. Hinagiku had a blank expression. "The author really did it huh?" she asked Hayate.

He laughed nervously. "Yeah......he wants me to give you all the volumes so far.....so you could remember me....." he said. Hinagiku kept a blank expression. " That's a cheap trick actually bringing in the manga where we came from into this modified fanfictiom universe made by the author of this fanfic just so he could get out of explaining our back story again." Hayate laughed nervously. "I mean the fact he was writing this fanfic while barely in chapter 20 of the manga and now trying to modify the universe even more seeing as he didn't know most of the story, as well as you actually falling for me, and a lot of characters. " Hayate said.

Hinagiku blinked twice. "Wait only chapter 20? Then why was Ruka in this? She's not till later chapters...like way later. " Hinagiku fussed. "He watched all three seasons of the anime before reading the manga. " Hayate said. "Ah that explains him not really knowing about Ruka, or how she act-" Hayate covered Hinagiku's mouth. "No spoilers alright, we aren't even supposed to be having this conversation seeing as we completely ditched the story and started stating the flaws of this fanfic and how the author should have done some more research on us before writing. " Hayate said removing his hand. "Ahh that would explain why this is a little too out of character seeing as you're somewhat of a perv in the first chapter, Ruka seems like a sex deprived perv, and why Maria seemed a little too innocent, and then me actually confessing, and going out with you." she nagged. Hayate nodded in agreement. "Yea I was a little to well...a little too much of a perv and I feel like your mom was probably the only person in this fanfic who wasn't out of character. Then there is the fact we are having this conversation which some people might find as another cheap trick for the author to explain why the fanfic was so bad." he said. Hinagiku nodded. "He also neglected the comedy aspect of the manga, which is why the seriousness of the fanfic honestly seems....what's the word.... Unreal. Like its serious but it lacks the comedy the manga has which is kind of a let down. " she said. Hayate sighed. "Wait I think we forgot something important...." he said. Hinagiku began to think as well as Hayate. "THE STORY!! " they both yelled in sync. "We got so into the conversation we completely forgot the atmosphere we where in... " Hayate said. "Ok let's try yo go back." she said. The two repositioned themselves back into there previous positions. The two looked at each other with blank expressions. " This isn't gonna work is it? The seriousness is completely gone...." Hinagiku said. "Yea honestly is...." Hayate sighed. "Shall I explain what happened to me?" Hayate asked. Hinagiku nodded. "Sure why not." she said.

Hayate coughed. "Basically Nagi hired an assasin to kill me, A-Tan's "Butler" saved me, A-Tan then erased me from everyone's memory somehow, and now we are here, and she did that so she could keep me all to herself." hayate finished. Hinagiku gave Hayate a blank expression. " Athena wasn't anywhere near chapter 20 and in the Anime she was neglected." she said. "Well after chapter nine the Auther binged the manga like there was no tomorrow. " Hayate replied. "Ahh so he basically realized he should have read the Manga first?" Hinagiku asked. "Yeah well he kinda regrets writing this, he feels its another failure like his previous fanfic, honestly I feel for him he can't just catch the grip of writing a fanfic. " Hayate said. "Welk isn't her like 18 or something " Hinagiku asked. "Actually he's not even in highschool yet, he's entering this year, surprising seeing as most fanfic writers at at least 16." Hayate pleaded. " Aside from that....does this mean the fanfic is over? Is it gonna end like this or is he gonna add something?" Hinagiku asked. " No actually this is it a anticlimactic cheap trick to apologize to the readers and explain why he failed yet again on a fanfic. " Hayate replied. Hayate and Hinagiku looked towards you. "Well hope you enjoyed and sorry for messing up again" they both said. "Bye" Hinagiku said giving a polite smile and waving.
