As she squeezed her way out, Harry walking at the opposite end of the aisle, she tried to ignore the first years pointing and prodding at the prefects to look at the two, which they also shared the same scared look. I mean Adaline and Harry should've expected this seeing as not only did Adaline look half dead as she flopped out of the maze a couple months prior however Harry carried the lifeless dead corpse of Cedric Diggory. The two newly fifth years arrived at the Gryffindor common room however the Fat Lady wouldn't budge as yet again the password had been change without their knowledge. "No password, no entry" The painting said firmly, "Um..." Harry sighed trying to think, Adaline began to walk away fed up of waiting around. "Harry! Harry! I know it! I actually remember it"! Neville beamed as he jogged over to the door.

Neville's eyes widened with fear when he noticed it wasn't only Harry stood waiting, "Neville go on" Harry huffed getting a little frustrated as to the girl not talking to him, "Mimbulus mimbletonia" Neville sighed, noticing neither of the two were that excited to see him after the long summer they had just had. "Correct"! The Fat Lady cackled in her high pitched tone, the Fat Lady's portrait swung open acting as the door, a rounded circle hole opened up in the wall, which the three climbed through. The common room seemed rather welcoming, more than usual, a fire roared silently in the corner and the cushions were freshly plumped and propped.

More of the group of Gryffindor's flooded into the common room just as Adaline had sat down in the arm chair, she had already received some vicious glares from others in her house. Harry noticed Seamus glaring at him and Adaline, Dean joining too, "Good holiday then Seamus"? Harry asked breaking the silence, Seamus didn't answer he was too busy glaring than to do anything else, "What about you then Dean"? Harry questioned, "Mine was great, better than Seamus' anyway" Dean shrugged, Harry looked a little confused, Seamus was usually one to brag about how much fun he has during the summer holidays.

Seamus finally looked up, "My mam didn't want me to come back" Seamus spoke, this then caused Adaline to furrow her eyebrows with misunderstanding, "What"? Harry questioned, "My mam...she didn't want me to come back to Hogwarts" Seamus elaborated on his previous statement. "But...why"? Harry asked, he seemed rather astonished as did Adaline, Seamus' mother was a witch herself, so she should understand, "Well, it's sort of because of...you two" Seamus spoke in a measured tone, Adaline felt like scoffing at the woman's choice, "What's that supposed to mean"? Harry asked, doing the scoff for Adaline. Adaline's heart was beating rather fast, she felt as if something was caving in on her, "Well...it's not just you two...it's Dumbledore too" Seamus added as if that didn't make matters worse.

The two lads were stood up, both expressions of anger apparent on their faces, "So she believes the Daily Prophet"? Harry asked, "She believes we're both liars and Dumbledore's just an old fool"? Harry scowled, "Yeah something like that" Seamus scoffed, knowing how much he was making Harry angry. Mrs. Finnigan didn't know anything, she didn't know what happened that night in the maze, to be fair, Adaline and Harry were both sick of it, sick of it always being them and no one ever believing them. "Look...what happened...in the maze that night...with you know Cedric Diggory and all"? Seamus asked, sounding scared to ask the question but eager to find out the answer.

Adaline was about to open her mouth to speak, "Don't! What are you even asking us for"? Harry questioned, Adaline had now noticed that most of the Gryffindor house had returned and they were now listening to the heated conversation. "Just read the Daily Prophet, like your stupid mother" Harry scowled, "Don't you have a go at my mother"! Seamus demanded, "I'll have a go at anyone who calls me or Ada a liar" Harry warned.

"Don't talk to me like that" Seamus scowled, obviously offended by the statement Harry had just made, "I'll talk to you how I want" Harry hissed, both Harry and Adaline's temper rising higher and higher, achieving what Seamus had wanted. "If you've got a problem with sharing a dormitory with me go ask McGonagall if you can move, if it'll stop mummy worrying-" Harry began to mock, "Don't bring my mother into this" Seamus scoffed. Ron had come back after eating the last bits of his dinner, which didn't seem to appetising to either Adaline or Harry, "What's going on"? Ron whispered to another Gryffindor, however he noticed an angry Seamus raising his fist, an angry looking Harry who was holding his wand and a scared looking Adaline stood in behind Harry.

"He's having a go at my mother...they both are"! Seamus yelled, pointing at Harry and Adaline, Adaline's mouth hung open, offended as she hadn't said anything at all, "What? Harry wouldn't do that, we met your mother-She was nice-" Ron sighed, "That was before she started believing every word the stinking Daily Prophet writes about us"! Harry argued, Ron's mouth formed in an 'O' shape as he also pronounced the vowel, "Oh...right" Ron nodded, the look of comprehension on his freckled face. "You know what? He's right, I don't wanna share a dormitory tonight with him, he's gone mad"! Seamus exclaimed, "That was out of order, Seamus" Ron huffed, trying his best to stay out the argument, however it wasn't hard for Adaline to notice the top of Ron's ears to turn red.

"Out of order am I"? Seamus shouted, Adaline began to get even more scared as she didn't want Ron to also get involved into this argument, however she was just as mad with him and Harry but Ron didn't deserve to be treated like this especially by the supposed good friend, Seamus Finnigan. "You believe all the rubbish, these two have both come out with about You-Know- Who? You reckon they're both telling the truth, because we know her history of lying" Seamus spat almost filled with venom and hatred, Ron looked at Adaline and Harry, he didn't even have to think, of course he believed them, they were his best friends, they'd never lie to him. "Yeah...yeah I do" Ron huffed, "Then you're mad too" Seamus scowled, how dare Seamus Finnigan insult his good friend, Ronald had always been a good friend to him.

Ron glanced over at Adaline who clearly seemed upset by Seamus' words about herself and Harry, she didn't mean to upset Mrs. Finnigan, she was only telling the truth. "Yeah? Well unfortunately for you pal, I'm also a prefect" Ron huffed jabbing himself in the chest with his finger, "So unless you want a detention, watch your mouth"! Ron warned, although the things that ran through Seamus' head, detention seemed like a reasonable or maybe lesser punishment, however he backed down, "So? Has any one else's parents got a problem with Ada...or Harry"? Ron asked looking at the others around him, "My parents are Muggles mate, they don't know nothing about no deaths at Hogwarts, because I'm not stupid enough to tell them" Dean shrugged, "My mother could weasel anyone out"! Seamus snapped at him, "Anyway, your parents don't get the Daily Prophet, they don't know our Headmasters been sacked from the Wizengamot and the International Confederation of Wizards because he's loosing his marbles" Seamus huffed, "My nan says that's a whole load of rubbish, she say's it the Daily Prophet that's going downhill not Dumbledore, she's cancelled our subscription, we believe them two" Neville interrupted pointing slightly at Adaline and Harry, two felt more gratitude to Neville because he stood up for them.

Harry stormed towards the boys dormitory, Ron looked over at Adaline and she nodded her head signalling that they should follow him. Harry kicked the suitcase which had been lazily left on the floor, "You alright"? Ron asked as he walked through the door, Adaline tried to walk in but it was like there was a barrier to stop her, the strong smell of boys and cologne was all she could smell. "Fine" Harry huffed as he unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, "Seamus, was bang out of order, mate, but he'll come through...you'll see" Ron sighed shaking his head, "I said I'm fine Ron"! Harry yelled, Ron's eyes widened, this reminded Adaline why she was mad at the two boys, they hadn't call or write to her during the whole of summer, when she was in grave danger, "Right, I'll just leave you to your thoughts then" Ron sighed as he turned back around to leave the room, Adaline had vanished.
