The student gathered around as Filtch hung up yet another rule Umbridge had given him, the ladder swayed very slowly, loud thunder like noises echoed through the halls, "Boys and Girls are not to be permitted within 8 inches of each other, those wishing to join me in the Inquisitorial Squad for extra credit do please submit a request about suspected illicit activities..." Umbridges voice scratched along the schools speaker, Filtch smirked as he tipped the painting causing it to a blank dark canvas. The great halls door locked as students put quill to paper writing down answers to their test paper, the majority of the students looked in pain, Adaline already knew that Umbridge had put the quills as the Black Quill. Umbridge just let out a sigh as she enjoyed watching the teenagers faces in pain as they carried on writing.

Cho waited outside, but all she could see was students looking at their hands, people pushed past her and gave her looks, it wasn't her fault she told on the others, she had no choice. Harry was the last one out, Adaline was staying as she had some extra time due to her writing difficulty, the scars from Umbridges black quill in the detention a couple weeks ago are just painful scars but Adaline still found it difficult to move her hand. "Harry..." Cho spoke, but Harry walked straight past her as if she was a ghost. Adaline didn't come back till ten past eight that night, with a few new scars. No way was she telling anyone about them ones.

"I could win against that hag" Ron scoffed as the four  walked down the bridge, "Even Dumbledore said—Harry, if it's anyones fault it's ours—" Willow sighed, "Yeah! We talked you into it" Ron agreed, "Yeah but I agreed, I tried so hard to help and all it's done is make things worse—anyway it doesn't matter anymore, because I don't want to play anymore, all it does is make you care too much, the more you care the more you have to lose, maybe this is better" Harry sighed, "To not care at all" Adaline mumbled, "I'm going to go alone—" Harry demanded, Adaline rolled her eyes, Harry always had to be the hero, but she couldn't do it, she couldn't fight him against it anymore, not when they needed him. "Psst"! A voice whispered, the fours heads snapped up, Hagrid, "Hagrid"? Adaline questioned as the giant attempted to hide behind a pillar.

They walked deeper and deeper into the forest, it felt like they had been walking for ages, "Do you have an idea where he's taking us"? Ron asked, "Not one" Adaline sighed, "Hagrid! Why can't you just tell us"?! Harry exclaimed. A group of Centaurs galloped along the forest, "I've never seen a Centaur so wide—And they're dangerous at the best of times" Hagrid gasped, the four didn't look pleased at Hagrids diversion to the question, "The ministry restricts their territory much more they're gonna have a full uprising on their hands" Hagrid huffed, "Hagrid! Tell us what's going on" Adaline exclaimed, Hagrid let out a sigh, "Sorry to be so mysterious you four, I wouldn't be bothering you at all with it but—with Dumbledore gone, I'll likely be getting sack any day now, and I just couldn't leave without telling someone about him" Hagrid sniffled. Suddenly the ground moved, as if there was an earthquake or the earth was changing. All four stepped back as they saw the image emerging.

"Grawpy"! Hagrid called to the giant, everyone thought Hagrid was tall, well Grawp was taller and scarier, "Down here you great baffoon"! Hagrid chuckled, a bunch of small flies surrounded Grawp, he began walking forward, swatting them until CLAP, catching many in his hands, "Oh! Grawpy I brought you some company" Hagrid smiled, it was silent for a couple seconds, until Grawp spotted someone, someone with long red hair, he liked the colour red, it was bright. The giant began darting towards the group, Adaline's shoelace got stuck on a branch so Ron quickly dragged her away, causing her to lose a shoe. But then Grawp stopped, Harry and Willow looked at each other, they were holding each other's arms, they quickly let go before anyone noticed. "I couldn't just leave him here, because he's my brother" Hagrid sniffled, "Blimey" Ron gulped, "Well half-brother really, he's completely harmless just like I said" Hagrid reminded, but Grawp still managed to slowly walk forward, "A little high spirited that's all" Hagrid shrugged. Adaline tripped over a branch and suddenly felt being lifted into the air, she let out a ear shattering scream, "Grawpy that is not polite"! Hagrid yelled, "Hagrid! Do something"! Ron exclaimed, "We talked about this, you do not grab, do you? That's your new friend" Hagrid huffed, Ron looked around for a giant stick, he ran towards Grawp's leg swinging the stick into it, only for it to snap, "Drop her, Grawpy"! Hagrid ordered, Grawpy kicked Ron to the floor, "Grawp! Put me down right this minute"! Adaline yelled, Grawp looked at her, he didn't mean to hurt her, he thought she was pretty to look at, but he did as she said, "Are you alright"? Ron asked his voice cracking in between due to the pure fear, "I've been better" Adaline whispered back, "He just needed a good talking to that's all" Adaline added, "I think you've got an admirer" Harry spoke,
"Not funny" Adaline huffed, Grawp was looking around in a pile of rubbish, "You just— You just stay away from her alright"! Ron exclaimed still sounded terrified, it was a bike handle Grawp picked up, he rang the bell.

He walked back over and put the handle by Adaline, she slowly took it making sure the giant couldn't grab her, she looked at Ron confused as what to do, Ron shrugged his shoulders not knowing what to do, the others weren't help either, Adaline rang the bell again, which caused Grawp to smile, "He gets his own food an all, it's company he'll be needing while I'm gone, you will look after him won't you"? Hagrid asked, Adaline and Willow was just sat laughing with Grawp as he rang the bell, like a little puppy, Harry noticed he was smiling, he didn't know why, he wasn't smiling at Adaline surely because he didn't ever see her as anything else but a...a Adaline, but he realised things about Willow, she was nicer this year, more...normal. Ron liked how Adaline could just look at something so ugly but make it feel so beautiful just like she was doing with Grawp, "You'll help him right"? Hagrid asked, "Yeah...we'll help him" The boys nodded.
