Time to Enroll!

(Y/N's POV)

Today's the day. I'm finally gonna do it. I'm going to enroll into UA.

When I got to school Toru was excited to see me. "Y/N!! We get to pick the high schools we wanna enroll in today! Isn't that exciting?"

"Yeah!" I smile, "I've had it on my mind for a long time. UA's gonna be my top choice."

"Oh wow! That sounds so cool!" Toru said excitedly, "I was still deciding on where I was gonna go... but if you're going to enroll at UA then I am too!!"

I smile even brighter. "Thanks Toru!!"

We walked together into our classroom where our teacher handed us our enrollment forms. This was it. I lifted my pen, but right before I let it down on the paper, I hesitated. What if UA wouldn't accept me because my quirk wasn't good enough? If they didn't I wouldn't blame them. My quirk probably wouldn't be very helpful with hero work...

No! I can't think that way! This was my dream, and now was my opportunity to fulfill it.

I slowly pressed the pen against the paper and began to write UA high as my top choice.

Then Toru tapped on my shoulder. "Do you think we should put down other schools in case UA doesn't work out?"

I paused a moment before answering, "I'm not sure.."

If I put down other options, would the school system think I didn't want to enroll at UA as badly as I did? At the same time, Toru has a point. If UA doesn't work out then I'd have no where to go.

"Well, I'm just gonna leave it at that." Toru exclaimed, "That'll show them that I have to get in!"

I smiled. "Then that's what I'll do too!"

We gave our forms to our teacher and he gave us an unsettling glare. "Only one option huh?"

"Well.. I.. uh.." I stumbled over my words.

"We picked only one option to make sure we get in!" Toru said confidently.

"I'm sorry to say, but that's not how it works." Our teacher said, "There's no guarantee that you'll make it into UA no matter how determined you are. If you end up not getting in, you won't have a second school as a backup."

"Well.. that's alright. I guess it's just hit or miss!" Toru said happily.

"Hagakure.." Our teacher said seriously, "This decision could effect your whole education. This applies to you too Y/N."

I understood what he was saying. But UA was so important to me, if I didn't get in, I don't know if I could settle on any other school.

"Don't worry! We've decided what we want to do. And if that doesn't work out then that's our future selves problem!" Toru exclaimed proudly. "Right Y/N?"

I nodded.

Our teacher sighed. "I guess I can't control your decisions. You may head back to your seats."

Our forms were in. UA as our only option. Now all we had to do was wait.
