I love doing unrequited love angst ngl

Tell me if you want me to do one of these for any other character. Credits to @sokka-beifong for the story idea, it was included in their tokka oneshot book

1. She loved him when they met for the first time. The sight of the aggressive blonde had left her star struck, and she caught up to him and introduced herself. He had talked about not needing friends, but she could tell: he was lonely. Desperate for some sort of human interaction. So she stayed by his side. Shortly after, they met Kirishima, Denki, Sero, and Mina, and they had more friends. More people. She loved him when she saw him with everyone, acting harsh but undeniably happy.

2. She loved him during the USJ attack, when all hope was lost. She loved him when he recklessly jumped into the fog, trying desperately to be a hero, even if it was just for a moment. When they were stranded in the building and the villain on the ceiling jumped down on her, he stood in front of her, taking the blows and defeating it. After Kirishima called him manly for doing it and he scoffed angrily. She loved him for protecting her.

3. She loved him during the UA sports festival, when he passed the race with flying colors. When he picked her first for his team during the cavalry battle, saying it was because of her quirk even though she knew there were others with stronger, better suited quirks than her. She felt bad for Izuku as he stood apart from the crowd, with everyone avoiding his headband like the plague, but once she saw Uraraka join him, she knew at least he wouldn't be alone. She loved him when he called her name to get her attention, drawing her sight away from "that damn nerd." She loved him for choosing her.

4. She loved him when she accepted her crush, hoping with all of her heart that they could be together. When he came over after they graduated UA to eat, drink, and watch stupid movies. When he came over even if no one else was going to be there. They were partnered up on missions frequently, and they would discuss the events afterward. It was the only time Katsuki would laugh, when he was recounting times where the villain screwed up and realized they were in deep trouble. She loved the way his eyes sparkled when he talked about new ways of training sidekicks to get them better suited for more modern villains, ways of teaching them to use their brain as much as their instinct. She loved the way he smiled when they were alone together, talking about recent events, random memories, or those same cringe-worthy movies they both pretended to hate but secretly loved. She loved him when she imagined him confessing to her, telling her he loved her too, taking her into his arms and kissing her lips. She imagined them growing old together, sharing a life, being happy. She loved him because she had hope.

1. She did not love him when she sat in her office, with her coffee cold and untouched on her desk. She did not love him as she read the article with the bright headline and looked at the photos of him at their favorite cafe, smiling at a beautiful dark-haired woman. She felt a weight drop into her stomach as she saw the pictures of them kissing under the cherry blossom trees in the park. She did not love him during their mission, when she beat the villain until he was out cold, not speaking a single word to Katsuki Bakugou. Speechless, he followed her to back to the agency and then to her car, driving to a small bar near his home. She did not love him as he slammed his fist against the bar, alcohol painting his cheeks red as he talked about how he hated those stupid articles and how he just wanted to be happy without being stalked by reporters. She did not love him as she comforted him and drove him back to his house, dropping him off in his bed and driving back to her own apartment. She turned off the engine and collapsed against the steering wheel, sobbing.

She did not love him because he broke her heart.
