It had been two weeks and Grayson hadn't spoken a single word to me. Boy, can he hold a grudge. But I am also one petty bitch.

I purposefully ignored him and made sure to never order food for him or make enough when I ate at the twins house. During these times I would invite Ethan and Dave to eat with me, making sure Grayson heard.

I was sick of him having a hold over me. It was time I showed him either he treated me right or we were done. I can and will move on.

Today, we had a pretty big video planned: getting hypnotized with Emma Chamberlain and James Charles. Of course I had met Emma several times; she came over frequently. But this would be my first time meeting James.

I would go with the boys to the hypnotism place to help set up cameras, but I would have to wait outside. The only sad part of my job is being behind the camera while watching others do fun things.

I was packing up the equipment when Dave came into the room, a worried look on his face.

"Hey, everything okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, I just..." His voice trailed off as he glanced around. "Look, be careful around James. He's a great guy, don't get me wrong, but he tends to get into trouble; and I don't want him bringing the boys down with him."

I nodded. "Don't worry, I've got my eye out." I lifted the camera bag over my shoulder. "If the boys go down, I do. So believe me Dave, I'll watch out for them."

Dave sighed. "Good, good. They have a tendency to be easily influenced."

I hummed. "Yeah, okay. See you later tonight, yeah?"

Dave patted my back. "Have fun."

I chuckled as I walked out of the room. "Oh I will," I said sarcastically.

Ethan was driving so I quickly stole the front seat, Grayson can squeeze his long legs into the backseat. I picked music while Ethan mapped out our route, hoping to avoid as much LA traffic as we could. Grayson finally got into the car, slouching down in the back.

"Took you long enough," Ethan muttered.

Grayson just huffed, closing his eyes to seemingly settle in for a nap. Ethan and I chatted the whole ride, mostly about differnt things going on in pop culture. It was partially our jobs to stay updated in current events.

There was a lull in the conversation as I picked new music, Ethan taking a deep breath before he spoke up, "So, how's your family?"

I froze, well aware that Grayson was listening. I could tell since his breathing was light, nothing close to how he breaths when he sleeps. And he gave himself away by constantly moving and sighing. "Oh, uh, I don't talk to them."

"So you moved out after high school?" His casul tone relaxed me, showing he just wanted to make me comfortable and help me open up a bit.

"Well actually the day I turned 18 I moved in with my best friend. When I finished high school I moved out of that house and got my own place." I explained, giving the bare minimum details.

Ethan glanced over, meeting my gaze. "That's really brave of you Jana. I don't think I would have enough guts to move out that early."

"It was a really toxic household...I needed to get out." I swallowed, that was something I hated admitting.

"Well, I'm glad you got out then. I guess Gray and I can be your family now." Ethan grinned.

I snorted. "Yeah..."

"Oh!" Ethan exclaimed. "We're here, and looks like James and Emma are here too."

Ethan parked the car and we both got out while Grayson made himself presentable again. Emma came over to hug us both, Ethan getting an extra few seconds then I. Then I was tackled by James.

"It's so good to finally meet you!" He exclaimed.

"You too..." I awkwardly patted his back, finding myself slightly uncomfortable with the sudden and tight hug.

And just as soon as he was there he was gone, running over to hug Ethan and then Grayson who had finally dragged himself out of the car.

We made small talk for a few minutes and then went inside, meeting the guy who would do the hypnosis. I helped set up the cameras and lights before helping them with some makeup so they wouldn't look completely pale on screen.

Grayson needed some concealer to cover up the bags under his eyes, which meant I had to get close. He watched me intently, his hazel glare unfazed as I patted roughly, not caring if I hurt him.

"Are you mad with me?" He finally whispered, must not wanting the others to hear.

I scoffed. "No, why would I be mad?"

"Can we talk later?" He licked his lips, his knee bouncing up and down.

"Maybe if you promise to listen."

Grayson opened his mouth but he was interrupted by Ethan announcing that they were ready to start.

I turned to leave but Grayson grabbed my wrist. "I will." He was desperate now, his eyes wild.

I pulled my wrist out of his grasp. "You have a video to film, focus." I left the room, waving at the others before I shut the door.

I have work to do, I don't have time I contemplate his riddles. I sat in the waiting room, putting in my AirPods and watching a movie on my laptop. I had work to do but I had been working all week, it was time for a break.

Time passed quickly and soon all four of them were stumbling out of the room, carrying the camera equipment and waving goodbye to the guy who put them under. Ethan seemed a little out of it as he waved me over. "Jana, can you?"

I nodded, getting up and helping to pack everything up. It was quick goodbyes to Emma and James before they left, leaving me and the boys to pack our own car.

Ethan rubbed his face. "Can you drive Grayson? That drained me."

Grayson nodded, sliding into the drivers side. I went for the back door but Ethan beat me, laying down over all the seats. I stood outside the car. Damnit. Ethan is going to sleep and I have to sit up front with Grayson. Wonderful. I got into the passenger side, crossing my arms.

This is going to be a long car ride.
