*Third Person POV*

Sakura: *Groan* We're only a few minutes into this, and I'm already getting creeped out.

Syaoran: No arguments here.

Tomoyo: *Looking over an old map of Sentryville" Don't you think it's strange? This map shows that the town's roads all have dead ends. No roads leading to any open roads outside the town.

Eriol: *Looks over the letter in question and a picture of Sophie, the woman in question* How they bring cars in and out of the town is quite a mystery. *Puts them away*

Sakura: *Chuckle* Yeah.

~Path to Sentryville~

Chiharu: *Spots some containers* What's with the containers? *Opens one* Nothing.

Takashi: *Spots a door* And why is there a door here? *Tries to budge the handle* The lock must be broken.

Rika: *Spots a first aid kit* This should come in handy. *Grabs it*

Kai: We're gonna need a lot more though. We don't know what we might encounter in that town.

Syaoran: *Spots the entrance* Probably should've brought our weapons.

*Fog starts to roll in*

~Sentryville~

Sakura: Here we are. Sentryville.

Eriol: This fog is going to mess with our search.

Tomoyo: *Spots blood on the ground* Is that...?

Eriol: Yeah. That's a blood trail.

Tomoyo: *Looks at the map* We're right here. And this leads up Winkler Street.

*They follow the trail*

~Winkler Street~

Takashi: It looks like it's going up Vantor Road.

*They continue following the trail*

~Vantor Road~

Kai: *Spots something up ahead* Is that a construction site?

Chiharu: Looks like it.

Sakura: And the trail ends there.

Eriol: Let me check it out. *Goes over to the construction site*

~Construction Site~

Eriol: Hello? Anyone? Is anyone wounded?

*Groaning*

Eriol: *Turns to the noise* What was that?

*Out of the shadows comes a disturbing sight, a humanoid creature with no arms, and an abstract face covered in blood*

Eriol: *Heavy breathing* What...? *Backs away*

*The creature slowly trudges towards Eriol*

Eriol: Stay back. Stay back.

*A wooden plank falls from the ceiling*

Eriol: *Grabs it and snaps it in half* This should serve as a weapon. *Jabs one of the planks into the creature, killing it*

*The others arrive*

Sakura: Are you okay, Eriol?

Eriol: ... *Turns to them* No worries.

Chiharu: *Notices the dead creature* What the heck is that?

Eriol: ... Just... something... I think I know why there's a blood trail. This thing must've been hungry or something. Apparently, those "monster rumors" might be true after all.

Takashi: *Pulls out a small book*

Syaoran: What are you doing?

Takashi: I have this book, "Sentryville: Today From Yesterday". There's a lot of people who are into this town, along with those monster rumors, and some even came up with names for them. *Spots the creature that Eriol just killed* "Lyfigs - Humanoid creatures with abstract faces. They have no arms, but they do have sharp, monstrous teeth that can bite. They also tend to make static noises as a way of intimidating." In short, they're armless zombies that sound like broken radios.

Rika: Zombies? I find that hard to believe.

Takashi: Well, they exist here.

Eriol: The one I just killed wasn't making such noises. It was groaning like an actual zombie, and it looked more human than that picture.

*The kids' eyes go wide*

Kai: You don't think...?

*Static noise in the distance*

*They turn to the noise and see another Lyfig coming their way*

Sakura: Come on. *Leaves with the others in tow*

Syaoran: *Spots something* Wait! *Stops everyone* It looks like the road collapsed.

Tomoyo: I guess we're going back.

Rika: But there's a Lyfig right behind us.

Sakura: *Grabs one of Eriol's planks* I got it. *Charges at the Lyfig and kills it*

Rika: That will do.

*They leave*
