I realize Rise Records is in Oregon but for story purpose just imagine it's not...

-Alan-
I was paranoid after getting that note from Shay. He wouldn't get Austin... right? There's no way Austin would be fooled by Shay's tricks, then again there's other way Shay could get back at me... but the real question is what did I do to him?
"Are you okay Alan?" I snapped out of my thoughts to see Austin kneeling down looking at me.
"Yeah, just thinking." I said and adjusted my position on the couch.
"About what?" He asked taking a seat beside me.
"Nothing just a bunch of different stuff." I said with a smile hoping he didn't press the question, I knew he could tell when I was lying he could read me like an open book. He smiled and dropped it, I knew I couldn't avoid my worries forever.
A little while later Austin went out for a little while, he had to check on some stuff at the studio. I stayed at home and watched TV. It wasn't until several hours later that I realized I had fallen asleep. It was dark out by now, sometime around nine. Austin should've been home by now... Well, maybe he's just running a little late. So I waited... ten, twenty, thirty, fourty-five minutes went by with no sign of Austin anywhere. I was really worried now so I grabbed my phone and called him. No answer. I was slowly starting to panic when I called the studio.
"Sorry Alan, haven't seen him since he left about two hours ago." The secretary said.
"Okay well thanks anyways." I mumbled and hung up. Two hours?! Panic had fully set in and I was terrified. I started calling people and asking if they'd seen him, but no luck it was like he'd disappeared. By this time Ashlee had arrived and was trying to help me the best she could. I grabbed the crumpled paper from last night and looked at it. Ashlee peered over my shoulder and grabbed it.
"Do you think Shay took him?" She asked.
"It's very possible that he did." I said. "I can't believe he's missing..."
She got up and walked to the door. "Come on, get your stuff, we're going to the police." I nodded and grabbed my things before quickly following her out the door.

We had been at the police station for about an hour. I hated this, it wasn't right. I was almost positive that Shay had taken him.
"Well thank you, we'll contact you as soon as we get some information." The officer said. "As for now why don't you two go home and rest." We both nodded and silently headed for the car.
I sighed. "Do you think they'll find him?"
"Alan don't worry, we'll find him okay? Just try not to worry too much." Ashlee made a futile attempt to calm me down.
"How can I not worry?! My boyfriend is out there somewhere and I don't know where he is or if he's hurt or-"
"Alan!" Ashlee snapped, shaking me out of my panic. "Hush now. I'm sure he's fine. I doubt Shay is gonna hurt him, if he has him." I gazed out the window with a sigh.
It could be days... Weeks... Years even if not never... What would I do without Austin? He was the love of my life, I couldn't bear to live without him...

~Earlier in Austin's POV~
I drove quietly to the studio, taking in my surroundings and relinquishing the feeling of being back here. California hadn't changed much at all since Alan and I left. Same old good place with some grundgy parts. I pulled into the studio and got out.
"Hey there Austin, sorry to call you in so late but Aaron said there were some vocals that needed to be redone." The secretary, Alice, smiled seeing me walk in.
"It's no problem." I shrugged and headed back to the room.

It only took a little while to redo the vocals and leave. Aaron left before me, I was making sure everything was neat for the next days work. I had a touch of OCD... well maybe more than a touch.
Sighing, I collected my phone and keys and headed out the door. It was dark outside.
"Bye Austin see you tomorrow." Alice smiled. I waved and went out to my car. I fumbled with the key and unlocked the door. Suddenly I felt very uneasy, like something was wrong. I turned around, seeing nothing unusual. I turned back around only to be hit in the head and fall to the ground. That really hurt... My vision was blurry as I searched for my attacker. I felt someone cover my mouth and then everything went black...
~Dream~
It's cold here... Where am I?"Hahaha..." Who is that?!
"Oh Austin, don't you remember?" I searched the blank area, nothing. I wanted to scream bit there was no sound. I had no voice here, I couldn't do anything.
"Don't you worry, your safe with me now. As for the little ginger... well he's okay, for now."
~~
I opened my eyes and looked over, coming face to face with Shayley. It had been a dream, but I had heard him speaking to me... I couldn't talk though, my mouth was held shut by tape. That would explain the inability to speak, as well as my inability to move because my hands and feet were tied.
"Ah, you finally awake?" Shay laughed. "Well, welcom back Austin." He laughed and took the tape off my mouth.
"You son of a bitch your ass is dead!" I cussed at him.
"Right, good luck with that." He said seeming unimpressed. "Well, I've got errans to run. See ya around."
"Fuck you!" I spat. I tried to break my bindings but it was useless. I was stuck.
What am I gonna do... Alan must be worried sick... I thought to myself. Then I remembered what Shay had said: "he's okay... for now." I was scared, not for myself but for Alan. I have to do something. I shifted around in the seat I was in and felt something in my front pocket. My knife!
