I sat on the couch the next few nights with Nala, the little ball of fur seemed worried as I was. Ashlee had been staying with me in case something happened and I needed help, good thing we had an extra room.
"Do you think he'll be back?" I mumbled, half to them, half to myself.
"Mrrrow..." Nala licked my hand as if to consol me.
"I'm sure he will." Ashlee answered. "Aaron said that the police have a lead."
"Yeah?" I sighed. "Well maybe we won't have to wait too much longer to find out where he is."
"That's the spirit. Now get some rest, you look like you need it." I nodded and headed for bed.

I had tried to get out but the last attempts I made were ruined when Shay came back inside. I had to wait for the right chance. Lucky for me, Shay slept in a room down the hall so tonight was my chance. I fumbled with the knife until I was able to cut the ropes around my hands. After what seemed like forever, I finnally got free. I cut the roped from my feet and put the knife back in my pocket. Quiet as I could, I made my way to the door and opened it. I could hear light snores somewhere down the hall, Shay was still asleep... good time to go. I quickly made my way to the front door and pulled it open. A small alarm rang and I doubled my efforts knowing Shay would be after me. I found my way to a tree line just across the yard and began my escape, despite having no clue where I was.
After a long time and a lot of wandering around I found my way to a highway. Looking at the signs I found that I was just outside of town. I began to make my way towards town and suddenly everything went black.

I woke up startled, something was wrong. I got up and imediately rushed to Ashlee's room. She wasn't there, instead I found her sitting on the edge of the couch, TV on, and covering her mouth. Her terror filled eyes met mine and with a look at the TV panic filled my whole body. The report was about Austin, he'd been hit by a car.
"The band member was found just outside of the city limits, his condition is stable at the moment, no more information has been given..."
Ashlee and I both breathed a sigh of relief. I was worried but at least he was stable. Ashlee pushed her hair out of her face and got up.
"Go get dressed, we'll go to the hospital." She told me and went to her room. I went the oposite dirrection to my room. It was quiet, aside from the low hum of the TV in the other room. I crouched down and dug through one if the drawers for my favorite shirt. I had just put it in the drawer earlier, but I didn't see it. I looked through the other drawers, nothing. I could've sworn I put it in there. I hadn't looked in the closet, though I don't recall going in there at all today. I walked and and flipped the light on.
"Hello there, I thought I'd see you eventually." My eyes widened as I spotted Shayley leaned up against the wall. He laughed and smiled at me. "Well then, let's get this over with." He said as he grabbed me.
"No! Ashlee he-!" I made an attempt of get away, but he had a tight grip on me and kept my mouth covered so I couldn't yell. Something was wrong though, everything was going dark and I couldn't stay awake. My stuggle became weaker and weaker until everything went black.

"Alan? Are you ready?" I called from the living room. I waited, no reply. "Alan?" I opened the door. The lights were all on but Alan was no where to be seen. I saw something on the bed.
Ashley... I've got your little ginger friend with me. And tell dear Austin for me will you, it'll break his little heart if he finds out. -S
"Shayley..."
