Opening Scene: Ambridge Private Boarding Academy Cafeteria

Date & Time: 02 May, Monday, 6:30 am

"Uhg, existence is meaningless" I groan out as I bang my head against the round cafeteria table. It had the faint scent of lemons meaning that it had recently been cleaned. The scent was somewhat calming.

If only I could clean my mind and forget.

"What's got your knickers in a twist, chica?"

I turn my head and give Cora my best deadpan look, I watch as the realization of her words dawns on her and she sends me a big smile and quickly looks back to her phone. She's wearing the school uniform, which consisted of a long-sleeved white button-up, plain blue tie, black slacks, and a black blazer with white trim.

On her blazers, right collar was her silver Gemini pin. She had decided to keep her braids for now and they were in a high ponytail at the top of her head and the ends gently brushed her butt as she sat in the black plastic chair.

"What am I missing?" At the sound of his Australian-accented voice, I turn my head to look at Axle my expression melting into a grimace.

He wore the exact same thing as Cora aside from the fact that his trousers were a little on the tight side and that he had his Leo pin on. It was a school day. Everyone was in uniform.

"Aside from all of yesterday?" I aired looking at him intently, I had yet to raise my head from the table, exhaustion weighing me down.

"Well about that..."

"Well?" I pressed knowing exactly where he was yesterday.

"I was with Simone"

Everyone at the table let out a collective sigh at his words.

This shit again.

"I thought you said you guys were over, like over over" Eric chirped in, his eyes focused on his phone screen.

"We were, but after we talked at the party we both decided to give it another try" He spoke very slowly, looking at the table like it held all of life's secrets.

"Let's just let this play out, we all know how it will end" Noah was also focused on his phone, letting out a small smile now and again.

"Can you guys have some faith in me for once?"

...

"Ok back to Cervines problem" Noah looked up from his phone and sent me a playful smile. He had successfully gotten on my nerves. I sat up and gave him a smile which caused him to freeze up and quickly look back at his phone screen.

"Holt confessed to her" Cora's voice was filled with excitement, just like it had been when I told her Saturday night in our room, she was vibrating in her seat. Always the hopeless romantic.

"Confessed what exactly?" Eric had finally looked up from his phone and actually looked interested in something after weeks of blank stares.

"THAT HE'S IN LOVE WITH HER!" Cora exclaimed causing almost everyone in the cafeteria to stare at us.

"Damnit Cora" I glared at her, making her shrink back into her seat with a nervous smile.

"That must suck for you, huh?" Eric sent me a patronizing smile, reveling in my misfortune.

This won't be forgotten vanilla stick.

"It just means that I've lost a great fuck buddy"
