Seven.

It had been weeks since Kemi and Jaemin's first date, and there had been a few after it.

"Kemi, are you busy this weekend?" Jaemin asked. Kemi thought for a moment but shook her head no.

"Well, you're busy now." Jaemin smiled, grabbing onto her hand.
Kemi smiled and nodded, the two of them walking to their next class.

"Wanna know what we're doing?" Jaemin asked, swinging their arms up, and wrapping his around her shoulder. Kemi nodded.

"Too bad. I'm not telling you. It's a surprise!" Jaemin said happily.

Kemi walked out of the classroom, heading towards the lunch room when she heard Jaemin talking with someone.

"I don't see why you like her so much, Jaemin. She doesn't even talk. She can't be that insteresting. And she's not even that pretty either." The very familiar voice of Sorin said.

"You have no room to talk. I don't care that she doesn't talk. We have our own way of communicating. And she is much prettier than you. You should stop pushing your insecurities onto her because you're jealous I like her more than you. What was even the point in saying anything about Kemi? You think that just because that is what you think means it will be what I think? You're clearly not the brightest person, Sorin. Now if you're done, I need to go." Jaemin said passively aggressive.

Kemi waited for Jaemin outside the cafeteria door, per usual and pretended that she didn't hear the conversation.

"Hi Kemi." Jaemin said wirh a smile as he saw her. Kemi smiled back and they made their way to their table.

"So guys, I'm going through with the plan!" Jaemin said with a proud smile.

Kemi took out her notebook.

What plan is he talking about?

Haechan read the note and smiled, but didn't answer.

You're not very helpful.

Haechan laughed when he saw Kemi's unamused facial expression.

"What's so funny?" Renjun asked.

"She wants to know what the plan is." Haechan said.

"You'll find out later." Mark said.

I hate surprises.

Haechan laughed once again, but the rest of the boys ignored him.

"So, Kemi, Maya is free tonight, want to go see her again?" Renjun asked.

I like Maya, she's really nice...but

Kemi showed Renjun the note and looked over at Jaemin beside her.

"Plans? Again? Jeez Jaemin, stealing her now?" Renjun laughed.

"Be honest, she was his since before she ever met us." Chenle said.

"So we have what? One and a half couples in this friend group now?" Jeno asked.

"And a half?" Jisung asked.

"Since Jaemin and Kemi aren't actually together yet, they don't count as a couple."

"Oh. Okay." Jisung said, still clearly confused.

"Kemi, are you ready for tomorrow?" Jaemin asked that Friday. Kemi nodded, having something for him as well for their date.

"I can't wait." Jaemin smiled, grabbing Kemi's hand again, spinning her around on the sidewalk.

"I can't wait. Wait- I just said that." Jaemin laughed, beinging Kemi closer.
