Tiarra's POV
"Zayn"
"How's my lovely sister, today?"
Lydia kept looking back and forth between Zayn and I. I haden't forgiven him for that day. In fact I hated him. He scarred my life and Lydia's also. I thought he'd be in prison for life.
"I see you're happy to see me. You're shaking with excitement, or is that fear?" He said, with a smirk. It wasn't the type of sexy smirks that Drake does. This one was filled with evilness. Is that a word? Well it is now.
I hadn't even noticed that I'd been shaking this whole time. Lydia was trembling a bit too. Lydia wasn't the type to get scared easily, but ever since that day we've been terrified of this moment happening. I never thought I would be face to face with my brother, the man who murdered my family and would have killed us too.
"Why don't we take this somewhere more private, hm?" Zayn said, smirking once again. I thought it over. Lydia was looking panicked. I can't blame her. It was a perfect day, when it all happened.
*~Flashback~*
"Lydia! Come on, we're going to be late!" I yelled. We were running as fast as our 7 year old legs could take us.
"I'm right behind you! I'm not going to let you get there first!" Lydia yelled, passing me. I smiled and laughed chasing after her. We were on our way home from school. My older brother was usually the first one home from middle school (8th grade) so Lydia and I always went over to my house. We all acted like family. My older brother was like an older brother to Lydia.
We kept running along the sidewalk. After turning the corner we stopped by the corner store we went to everyday. Walking in, the bell above the door rang. I always loved that sound.
"How are my two favorite girls?" Noah said. Lydia and I smiled. Noah was about 16 or 17 years old and has seen us everyday for about a year. We came here everyday after school, never missing a day.
"Good! I got an A+ on my test today!" Lydia said. Noah smiled one of those "good guy" smiles. It always seemed to brighten our days whenever we seen it.
"That's amazing Lydia!" He said ruffling her hair. She giggled and I smiled. Lydia and I walked around the store, like we did everyday. We finally saved up about 2 dollars each from looking around my house for spare change. We ran straight to the Frozen Storage bin and pulled out 2 popsicles. We ran back to Noah and he looked at us. He had a playfully skeptical look on his face. "You guys didn't rob a bank did you?" He said. We laughed and shook our heads. He smiled and took the money.
"Thanks!" We said at the same time. We took the popsicles and we were about to walk out the door. Today though, Noah stopped us.
"Hey, I'm not supposed to do this, but..." He said pulling out something behind the counter. It was a stuffed animal that Lydia and I had been looking at for about 2 months. It was about 15 dollars, but everytime we managed to save up money we'd spend it on popsicles here.
Our faces brightened up as he gave us the big puppy. It was almost as big as us.
"Thanks Noah!" We both said giving him a hug. He chuckled.
"Can you guy's carry that all the way home by yourselves?" He asked, eyeing the stuffed puppy. We nodded our heads, determined. He smiled and we yelled a "bye" as we ran out the door. Walking down the sidewalk, Lydia held the puppys head while I held it's hind legs. I started to get hot and my mouth was dry. I wanted something cold. That's when I remembered.
