Arranged Marriage

AFTER 5 MONTHS

Jessica's POV

"Jessica Jung! Wake up!" I groaned and rolled over before sitting up. "What is it mum?" She sat at the edge of my bed and sighed. "The maid told me that some guy has been sending you home the past few months. Who is he? Your boyfriend?"

I nodded sleepily. "His name is Xi Luhan. My boyfriend." Mum gasped. "How long have you been together?!" I frowned. "5 months ago mum" Mum gasped again. "How long have you known each other?!"

I opened my eyes. "Chillax mum. I've known him for years! He's a nice guy!" Mum sighed before giving me a small smile "Come down once you've bathed and changed" I gave her a curious look before going into the bathroom.

Authors' POV

Jessica dried and combed her hair before going down. She walked straight to the kitchen. Right when she was about to take a step into the kitchen, a soft voice called out her name. More like a question. "Jessica?" she froze and turned around. Upon seeing who it was, she smiled and ran to him, giving him a tight hug.

"Luhan~!" He hugged her back with a smile. Jessica pulled away and placed her hands on his shoulders while his rested on her waist. "What are you doing here Lu?" "Ehem! Ehem!'

The two stood side by side and looked awkwardly at Mr Jung. (IDK WHAT TO CALL HER FATHER!!!) He gestured to the dining table. "Have a seat." Luhan and Jessica sat beside each other. On the ends of the table was Mr Jung and Mr Xi. Their wives sat opposite the two. Krystal finally came down and sat beside Luhan on the other side with a grin.

The maids of the Jungs brought in the dishes and they tucked in. Their maids cleared and cleaned the table. The two fathers had a serious look. Mr Xi started. "The reason why we came here today...." Luhan held Jessica's hand under the table. She intertwined their fingers quietly. "Is to discuss the arranged marriage" Luhan and Jessica held their breaths "Of Krystal and Luhan"

Jessica felt her heart freeze. Beside her, Krystal cheered and wrapped her arms around Luhan. "T-t-there must be some mistake." Mrs Jung stuttered, giving Jessica a worried look. Mrs Xi shook her head. "There is no mistake"

All the more Krystal squeezed Luhan. Under the table, Jessica let go of Luhan's hand and brought hers back to her lap. Luhan turned to Jessica. He too was in shock. He turned back to Krystal when she planted a kiss on his cheek.

Jessica turned away and distanced herself from the two. Luhan abruptly stood up. "I can't do this! The one I love is Jessica!" Mr Jung slammed the table. "Are you rejecting my daughter?!" Mrs Jung gasped. "Jessica IS your daughter too! What's wrong with Jessica getting married to Luhan instead of Krystal?!"

jessica stood up, silencing everyone. "Enough. Luhan can marry Krystal. I trust he will take care of her well. Excuse me." She turned to leave but was turned around by Luhan. "Why are you saying this?! You're my girlfriend Jessica!" Their parents and Krystal except Mrs Jung gasped. "W-what?" Mr Xi looked at his son "Luhan. Is this the girl you've been meeting the past few months?"

Luhan nodded and held Krystal's hand. Mr Jung sighed and shook his head. He looked at Mr Xi and politely smiled. "Then I shall agree to the marriage of Jessica and Luhan since they already love each other." Mrs Jung, Luhan and Jessica heaved a sigh of relief and smiled. Krystal stood up and threw her handkerchief on the table. "I didn't know you were this selfish unnie"

Krystal stormed off the table. Jessica wanted to console Krystal but freezed instead when she met the stern gaze of her mother. Mrs Jung smiled "I'm sorry for Krystal's behavior. We spoiled her too much." Jessica smiled as she looked at Luhan. She was worried about Krystal but was assure that her mother got it under control.

Luhan smiled and intertwined their hands tighter. Mrs Xi giggled. "It's okay. See you again for the planning of their marriage." The Xi family took their leave including Luhan. Now its time to handle Krystal
