Harry

"Jay, did Louis really die all those years ago?" my voice cracked in the middle. I knew that I saw him, not in person, but I did... I'm sure of it. Jay frowned and looked out the flower bed by the red wheel barrow that I remembered using back then when Louis and I helped her plant the new flower seeds she bought directly online. Me and Lou doubted they will grow because none of us trusted the Internet to the extent, but nevertheless, we kept quiet, and amused Jay by helping her out.

"So, how would you like to spend the Summer Haz? Sun Bathing, The beach, romantic walk in the park, or, are you in the mood to--" "Boys, come look, come look!!" Jay squealed loud enough for both of us to hear. Louis rolled his eyes in annoyance, but a smile was engraved in his lip, containing another opinion. "Should we go Lou?" I asked jokingly, hearing the frantic footsteps approach us.

The boy snorted, and buried his face into my neck. "durnwanna go." he murmured silently, but sounding slightly muffled. Jay rolled her eyes at her son, crossing her arms in a protesting manner. "Louis Willia--" "Fine." Louis groaned instantly as he got up the seat, pulling me up with him in the process. "C'mon love." he crooned. "She's not going to give up, and I swear that can lessen our cuddle time for like 20 minutes, so let's just get over it, so we can definitely visit each other's house and such." I snorted, and nodded my head eagerly. "Plus, it looks good on me, helping out and all." I teased, wiggling my eyebrows at him.

I can hear Jay snort in the background in silent agreement to my comment. Louis smiled while getting up before me, and offering his hand for me to take, and in turn, I laced my finger with his eagerly as we ran together to where Jay was.

A peaceful silence filled us with the twins, Fizz, and Lottie casually peeping through their storm door, attempting to hear what we were trying to say. I kept my eye on Jay, silently waiting for her to speak, while Niall looks at me with understanding eyes, and went in to occupy the nosy flowers that hid frantically whenever my eyes mindlessly landed on the door. It was after 30 minutes later that she finally mustered up the confidence and looked at me with a thin transparent film clouding her eyes. "I'm sorry." she mouthed, and casted her gaze down on the bright, freshly trimmed grass.

My eyes furrowed in confusion. "For what?" I asked trying to keep my voice low, and in control. She shook her head, and buried her face in both her hands. At this very moment, the usually fearless woman I came to respect looked very much vulnerable, and weak. I couldn't get a word out feeling the foreign words that I claimed to be my mother tongue. I wanted for her to continue, to say exactly what she meant, but her body racked in quiet sobs. My feet felt like cinder blocks laid upon them--I couldn't move from my position.

"Did he die Jay?" I asked once more as I breathed in the fresh scents of flowers around us. She winced by the question, and sat herself quietly beside me without a single word. I let my gaze drift to the colorful varieties of colored flowers to keep my fluctuating composure intact. "Yes and No.." she silently whispered making me turn to her in the process. "What?" I croaked. "Yes Harry he died.. But.." she silently chewed on her lip as she fiddled with her fingers. "He was alive again..." she continued.

My fingers trembled by her wording.. What did she mean? "You see..." she looked up at me once more as a small yet brief smile lit her face. "Louis... Louis was already dying.. He was on stage 3 of leukemia... And he, he didn't want to leave you like that so.." "L-Louis was d-dying?" my voice choked, as I tried holding back the tears. "Why didn't he tell me?" I asked myself, but Jay answered anyways. "He didn't want you to be sad Harry, he never wanted for you to be worried about him, he hoped that he will at least get better and fight this all in one battle.." something wet plopped down my finger, and my eyes casted out the cloudless sky. Was it raining?
