My eyes kept flickering to the exposed windows. Harry had Jay by the shoulders, and he looked at her with such a frantic, yet distressed expression. The twins has eased down their grip on my hair, and followed my gaze with worried glances. I patted both their heads, and got up from my position. "Let's go play hide-&-seek, yeah?" I offered.

The girls beamed at each other, and nodded too eagerly, as they claimed me to be the finder, and they the little gazelles that I will hopefully find.

For a second, I thought they completely forgot about their mum, both of them came to a halt on the threshold to the staircase. Their blue gazes flickered to the window for a brief noticeable worried glances, and they were back to squealing to the very maximum capacity of their lungs screaming "You'll never get me!!" in unexpected unison before dashing up the stairs.

I gave a slightly enthusiastic chuckle, as My head snapped up to the two figures once more.

I looked at their stilled position from the slightly fogged up windows, which was probably from the rise of temperature, before heading up the stairs hollering a "Come out, come out wherever you are!!" receiving a few silent snickers from random corners. I was confident at first, but seeing as there was 5 bedrooms in total, and no true indication as to where the girls might be, I felt my resolve crumble a little, and suddenly, I wasn't so sure if I could find them. "Harry, you better be okay." I murmured silently, before pressing my luck, and heading for a random room.

Harry

I shook my head in disbelief. "J-Jay, I don't understand. P-please explain." pain flashed her eyes, and she chewed on her bottom lip, studying the ground with her head hung low. "What am I supposed to say?" she asked as she finally looked up with a melancholic smile. "How can I make it even clearer for you Harry?!" she demanded, shrugging off my hands off her shoulders with a frown. "He was desperate, and he tried the experimental radiation treatment. What is not clear about that?!"

My stomach clenched, and I felt myself drop to my knees. "B-But that d-doesn't explain anything Jay!" I tried protesting weakly. "How the h-hell did all this.." I indicated to the whole space around us, referring to our whole situation. "How the hell did he manage to come back to life?! It makes no absolute sense that he's still living when I saw him.. when I saw him get buried in that place." I croaked, already feeling tears well up my eyes.

"I have no idea about that sweetie, I was surprised about that too, I mean they mentioned something about it before, but I never actually saw this coming.. I--" My eyes fought back tears fairly well, until she came to my side and draped her arms around my shoulders like what my mum would usually do when I needed comforting. And that was when it happened. The burden felt too strong to hold anymore. My will felt too weak to close off the sadness that I burrowed within my chest. Big fat tears then started dripping down my cheeks, cascading in her plain blue sun dress almost like a waterfall.

"Harry, none of us expected for it to happen." she admitted. "I mean, even I didn't expect it. That funeral was only supposed to be a--" she stopped herself. "It was o-only supposed to b-be what, Jay?" I asked weakly. I perked up instantly, and see that her pale blue eyes seemed dulled at the moment, and lacked lustre. "It was only supposed to be a.. parting event.... For ...you..." her eyes looked away, as the information quickly registered silently in my brain. 'a parting event... For you... For you...' the words swirled around my head in endless circles.

"Y-You mean... He didn't die, and you lied to me?!" I spat feeling anger mask my true emotions. "Harry, you don't understa---" "No Jay, 'you' don't understand!!" I got up from both feet, not caring at all if my jeans appeared to be dusty from the soil, and instantly, and whipped out her grip away from me. "In all these years, I thought he died Jay, I thought that he left me alone with this stupid promise we both made to each other. But now you're telling me that all of that ceremony and such was just one of your little plans?!?" my voice rose even more. "Harry, it wasn't supposed to be that way I--" I furiously shook my head, not wanting to hear anymore.
