Chapter 01: Cross Academy

Akari's POV
I was riding in the limo with all of my adoptive brothers..... and Yui. The past couple of months have been hectic.

First, Yui and I were sent to live with my brothers by that bastard Seiji; then the awakening with Karlheinz's mistress, Cordelia, happened; then the Mukami's kidnapped me and Yui; then we were kidnapped again by the Mukami's; and again kidnapped by Kino(words were shared with Karlheinz); the the Eve project started only to fail because Yui is not the Eve.

Now we're all being sent to True Cross Academy and into the lion's den with the Pudicita race.

Before going Karlheinz and I explained who I was to the brothers and only the brothers because Yui has a loud mouth. The only reason she's still alive is because Karlheinz can't figure out how she's not the Eve.

It's probably because she has Cordelia's vile blood still pumping through her veins. Disgusting.

Shu breaks me from my thoughts by laying his head on my lap and placing my hand in his hair. I obey the silent request and start stroking his head. I then rest my head on Subaru's shoulder making him blush. Yui scowls at me.

"I don't get it! Why do you always get special treatment! It doesn't make any sense! I'm the beautiful, and blissful daughter of Seiji Komori! I should be treated like a goddess!" Yui snaps at me. I look at her and say "Need I remind you that Seiji works for Karlheinz because Karl knows about his dirty little secret......and yours" Yui glared at me while the boys look between us in curiosity and confusion.

Karl never did tell them why Seiji retired from being a vampire Hunter and decided to work for the vampire king.....if only they knew.

"He and I know that you're anything but 'blissful' and as for your looks" I then scanned her form. Plain face with pink eyes and curly blonde hair. Flat chested with no ass and zero curves. "I'd give a solid 1 1/2 on the scale. The only attractive thing about you is your hair and eyes color. It would also help if you spoke less and thought more. You never use your head and then you say stupid shit. It's annoying" feeling tired I rested my head back on Subaru's shoulder.

"How dare you speak to me like that you demonic freak! I'm Yui Kom-" Yui's rant is cut off by a whack and a thump. I opened my eyes to see a that vexed Kanato knocked Yui out. I smiled and dug into my satchel.

I pulled out two lollipops "Here Kanato, would you and Teddy like some candy?" Kanato's face lit up and he snatched the homemade lollipops that I always carried just for him "Thanks Akari!" I nodded and relaxed and enjoyed the silence.

I changed into my natural form now that Yui was unconscious. Ruki suddenly broke the silence again by saying "Something's been bothering me about you" I crack open my blue eyes and hum questioningly "Is Akari even your real name? Or is it your alias for your human form?" Reiji suddenly closed his book "Yes I'm quite curious about that as well" I sighed and sat up "I have many names. Is it my birth name that you want? Or my adoptive name?"

I decided to be truthful with them. They're my family and I'm tired of all the lies.

They looked curious and confused but Shu answered "What's you adoptive name?" I looked down at him and sweetly smiled "Erika Sakamaki" Ayato then asked "And your birth name?" I frowned before saying "Oiwa Kuran" this made them gasp "As in the Kurans of the Pudicita race where we're headed right now?!" Kou asked making me nod "Yes. I'll stay as Akari for awhile until Karl decides to introduce me as his daughter. It's all a part of his little mind game. Me and him play them a lot, but this his the first time he's ever purposely and willingly put me in the line of fire."

I anxiously twirled Shu's hair around my finger catching his attention "It's probably an ego thing. Not many pure bloods would willingly let their heirs leave. He probably wants to rub it in their faces that he's a better father than Haruka" I nodded. That made sense. I sighed "Thank you, Shu" he nodded.

"So what are the Kurans really like? Karlheinz wouldn't have adopted you if you were happy and loved by them" Yuma asked. I sighed and explained my less than appealing childhood to them. By the end of it they all looked as if the swallowed lemon juice. "Absolutely deplorable" Reiji muttered making me smile "They all weren't bad. Yuki, my big sister, loved me. We planned to run away together and get married" this caught their attention and Laito suddenly asked "Oh? Does doll-Chan like girls?" I shrugged "Gender isn't an issue for me. Guys, girls, and everything in between is fine. As long as I like them. I think humans call it Omni sexual? Or pansexual? Maybe I'm a demisexual too. I'll have to look at the LGBTQA chart again."

Suddenly we pulled up to a castle like mansion with a gate. Yui started to stir and I immediately returned to my human form. Yui sat up and whined "Oooooowwww! My head" I rolled my eyes.

A familiar opened the door and one by one we got out. We were greeted by Principal Cross, a silver haired boy around the triplets age, and.......my birth family.

Haruka and Juri stood side by side clinging to each other. They wore stern expression that masked some type of grief. They wore business suites that looked expensive.

Kaname wore a mask of indifference, but I could see the burning rage and sadness in him. He was a copy of Haruka and wore the night uniform.

Yuki looked like a clone of Juri as she wore the signature day class uniform and cut her hair into a pixie bob. She was as beautiful as I remembered her. She stood some feet away from her family and she refused to look at any of them. This made me frown 'Shouldn't she be engaged to Kaname by now? Why is she so cold to her family?'

"Welcome to True Cross Academy! I'm the principal Kaien Cross. Please come in and we'll sort out your dorm rooms and schedules" Mr. Cross said. We all followed him as he began his excited ramble about how happy he was that the Regalis race finally accepted his invitation.

Blocked him out as I kept my eyes trained on the silver haired boy. 'A level E with restraint....how rare'  "That's my son, Zero" Mr. Cross said when he noticed my stares. Zero grunted out "Adopted"  I chuckled and said "Same" I smiled at him and continued on my way.

We reached the principal's office and we took seats at one of the couches.
