[The teens walk through the gate to the arena, after Gobber opens it]

GOBBER

Welcome to Dragon Training!

ASTRID

No turning back.

[They all look around while walking to the middle]

TUFFNUT

I hope I get some serious burns.

RUFFNUT

I'm hoping for some mauling, like on my shoulder or back.

Y/N

How about some scars on the face?

ASTRID

Yeah, it's only fun if you get a scar out of it.

HICCUP

Yeah, no kidding right? Pain. Love it.

[Everyone turns around to look at him as Y/n groans]

TUFFNUT

Oh, great. Who let him in?

GOBBER

Let's get started! The recruit who does best will win the honour of killing his first dragon in front of the entire village.

[Snotlout and Y/n looked at each other]

SNOTLOUT

Hiccup already killed a Night Fury, so-

Y/N

-Does that disqualify him?

[The twins laugh]

TUFFNUT

Can I transfer to the class with the cool Vikings?

[The teens walk off, while Gobber puts his hand on Hiccup's shoulder]

GOBBER

Don't worry. You're small and weak, that'll make you less of a target. They'll see you as sick or insane, and go after the more Viking-like teens instead. [He laughs while patting his shoulder and standing in front of the cell doors] Behind these doors are just a few of the many species you will learn to fight! The Deadly Nadder!

FISHLEGS

Speed 8, armour 6.

GOBBER

The Hideous Zippleback.

FISHLEGS

Plus 11 stealth. Times 2.

GOBBER

The Monstrous Nightmare.

FISHLEGS

Firepower 15.

GOBBER

The Terrible Terror.

FISHLEGS

Attack 8, venom 12.

Y/N

Shut up!

GOBBER

Thank you, Y/n. Finally, the Gronkle. [He puts his hand on the lever]

FISHLEGS

[Leaning towards Hiccup and whispering] Jaw strength 8.

SNOTLOUT

Whoa! Whoa! Wait, aren't you gonna teach us first?

GOBBER

I believe in learning on the job.

[He pushes the lever down and opens the gate, letting the Gronkle out]

--

[After they leave the arena]

SNOTLOUT

So about that offer-

Y/N

The only reason Astrid would ever come to our house is to visit me. I think you've forgotten the fact that our families hate each other! Astrid and I are the only exceptions.

[Fishlegs and the Twins back away slowly and go home, while Astrid hides behind the corner]

SNOTLOUT

Come on! Why do you get to have everything good?!

Y/N

Cause I'm better than you, miserable tadpole. Plus, I don't cross other people's boundaries.

SNOTLOUT

What's that supposed to mean, plankton brain?!

Y/N

It means you need to learn when to back off from girls who don't want you!

[Snotlout stares at her in slight shock as she shouted at him, something she has never done in a serious manner. Especially when he knows it's about Astrid]

SNOTLOUT

What..?

Y/N

Snotlout- I-I'm sorry I shouted, alright. But it's clear to everyone but you, that Astrid holds no romantic feelings for you. I just... don't want you to get hurt. So, it was probably best I told you now, instead of later...

SNOTLOUT

...You love her.

Y/N

What...?

SNOTLOUT

You love her, don't you? You love Astrid.

Y/N

[Looks down to the ground and rubs her nape] Yeah... Yeah, I guess I do... [Snotlouts breathes in and closes his eyes, staying quiet] I'm sorry, I never... I know you love her too, but...

[She groans and runs her hands over her eyes while turning away. Y/n jumps when she feels hands wrap around her in a hug]

SNOTLOUT

I respect you too much as a sister. So, I'll stop going after her. You deserve her more than me.

[Y/n widens her eyes in shock, before letting a small smile grow on her face]

Y/N

You're an idiot, you know that? Thank you.

[She turns to him and hugs him back. They let go and smile at each other, then Snotlout smirks]

SNOTLOUT

That doesn't mean I won't tease you anymore!

[He laughs as he runs off to their house. Y/n laughs as well and chases him]

Y/N

Get back here, Snot-face!

[As they run off, they fail to realise they passed a certain blonde girl who had a bright red and shocked face]

ASTRID

She... loves me back! [She smiles]

I'm sorry if this made no sense, I am very tired
