Michaelis Manor

Chapter 6

Brianna was in her room, getting herself ready to meet Katherine. Victor had already left for his trip, Arianna was helping her clients, while Penelope was roaming bars. It was only her and Sophie in the manor. Sophie was in her room, reading a book about fairytales.

Brianna put on her black heels, she kept the time on her phone and saw it was already 7:05 pm, she began to wonder where Kate was. She walked to her window and move the curtain away and saw a woman coming up the pathway from the garden to the house. Brianna even though she couldn't see what Kate looks like, knew that it was her.

Brianna heard the door being knocked, she walked out of her room, she walked down the stairs but before she walked to the foyer to greet Kate, she walked to Sophie's room to see if Sophie wanted to meet Kate.

Sophie was on her bed, reading the fairytale book, Sophie stopped reading the book and notice Brianna.

"Hey, Sophie do you wanna meet our new housekeeper?"

Sophie shakes her head no.

"Alright."

Brianna knew Sophie was going to change her mind. Brianna slightly left her door open. Brianna kept the door being knocked again, she walked down the last remaining staircase. She came to the front door, before she opened the door, Brianna made sure her clothes were okay. She exhale in, and out and thought aloud to get her some courage.

"Alright, I can do this."

Brianna opened the door, when she saw Kate, she was shocked to see her. Kate spoke to Brianna in a happy tone.

"Hello you must Ms. Michaelis I'm Katherine Miles, we spoke on the phone."

Brianna was speechless, her eyes widen a bit when saw Kate looking at her, Kate smiled and was happy Expression went away and instead was replaced with worried and concerned.

"Ms. Michaelis are you alright?"

Brianna couldn't speak a word. She walked closer to Kate and touched her arm. Thinking to herself "Impossible." Kate became a little bit uncomfortable.

Kate spoke to Brianna.

"Um..Ms. Michaelis, are you alright?"

Brianna realize what she was doing, and stopped. She had to keep her feelings in check. She quickly removes her hand from Kate's arm.

"Oh...I'm sorry you'll have to imagine me on a better day. But please come in. Get out of the cold."

Brianna let Kate in the house. The entire house was toasty. Kate was amazed by the whole foyer. Kate spoke to Brianna.

"You have a lovely home."

"Thank you, come with me to the living room."

Brianna escorted Kate to the living room. The living room was gorgeous, it had a huge fireplace with a portrait of a blonde and regal man on top of it. With two blue vases sitting on each side of the fireplace. The walls were paneling style with a blue pattern decorated in it. The floor is made of beautiful wood, with blue and gold color rugs aside from each other.

Two blue and wooden couches sat diagonally from each other, as well as the brown TV stand and the flat TV. A Victorian dollhouse sat near a window with a blue curtain on it before for a child. A door sat next to the victorian dollhouse that lead to the bathroom.

A beautiful light blue grand piano sat near the archway to enter the living room. An organ also sat on the other side of the wall the organ was grey and gold with a seat that matched it. There are also many paintings and pictures really old ones in the living room as well, Some of them dated back to the 16th century.
