"Willow, there's something I want to tell you." Hunter said looking away.
Hunter and Willow had been hanging out, and having casual conversations about things like books and flyer derby, until suddenly the conversation turned kind of serious.
"What is it?" Willow leaned slightly towards him curiously. They were both sitting comfortably on Willows bed, legs hanging off the side.
"It's- it's about myself." Hunter paused. But before Willow could respond he continued.
"Something me and Luz discovered when we were trapped in Belos' mind." He finished.
Willow could see that Hunter's mood had shifted drastically from the conversation before, he was now visibly nervous and seemed upset.
"Hunter it's ok, you know you can tell me anything." Willow reassured, though she was starting to worry.
"I'm not really a witch." Hunter stated bluntly, as if he was forcing the words out.
Willow was slightly taken aback, but, it wasn't the most shocking thing she'd ever heard, in fact it didn't really even make the top ten, before she could respond however, Hunter interjected.
"I'm not really even a person."
Now Willow was truly taken aback.
"Hunter, what are you talking about?" Willow questioned, certain he was exaggerating.
"I- well, do you know what a Grimwalker is?" He looked to her, with a slight wince to his nervous expression.
Willow shook her head slightly.
"Well- it's like- um, like a copy of someone else- or of what used to be someone else. It's- an amalgamation of a bunch of magical ingredients merged into one thing and- just" Unlike before when Willow could tell that Hunter was forcing the words from his mouth, now, they seemed to fall out uncontrollably as Hunter began to ramble.
"I'm basically just- a shadow of somebody else- I'm- I'm barely even real I just-"
Hunter's upset stammering was stopped by a sudden interruption. Willow had placed her hand gently against Hunter's cheek and she looked at him with a soft expression.
"You feel real enough to me." She said tenderly.
Hunter stared back at her with wide eyes, the tears that had collected threatening to spill over onto his pink cheeks.
"Hunter, it doesn't matter what you are, you're our friend. We care about you. I care about you." Willow insisted, still gingerly holding his face with her hand.
"But-" Hunter stammered.
Willow brought her other hand to hunters empty cheek, gently wiping a tear that had rolled down it.
"Hunter, you are your own person, with your own thoughts and emotions. It doesn't matter what, or who, Belos made you to be, you make your own choices. You are you."
Another tear rolled down Hunter's cheek, but the pain in his face softened. He brought his hands to Willow's and guided them away from his face, holding them delicately in front of him.
"How do you always know exactly what to say." He breathed.
"I just say what I think." Willow smiled softly.
There was a pause between them. The air stood still. Then Hunter hesitantly broke the silence.
"Then, what would you say if-" His gentle grip on her hands tightened very slightly.
"If I told you I wanted to kiss you."
Willow gasped quietly, her gaze locked on hunters dark eyes.
"I- I don't know." She breathed. She was frozen for a moment, she was truly dazed by what he had just said.
Hunter noticed her hesitation and realized he had made a huge mistake.
"I'm sorry," he began to pull his hands away from hers, when suddenly Willow grasped his cheeks once again and pulled his lips to hers.
