Emerald - (Female Pokemon Gjinkas x Trainer Male reader)

Prologue: Littleroot Town, A Fresh New Start

It was dark.

All around me was nothing but darkness, as I leaned against boxes that slightly moved from left to right.

I could feel the bumps as I slumped down against the walls of the truck as it continued to move towards our destination. Everything was shaking and wobbly, and I can't help but feel a bit drowsy from how long the trip was.

After a decent amount of hours, the shaking has finally put a stop. The vehicle has now arrived at the destination; My new home. A shining bright light immediately filled my spot as the doors of the trailer open up, revealing some Pokemon helping out to take the boxes out of the trailer.

I step outside, stretching and taking in my new home; Littleroot town.

From what I've seen on a map, it's a quaint little town nestled on the lush southern edge of the mainland. It was small, and a peaceful one at that. It felt a bit bittersweet leaving our former home; the Johto region, but arriving here at Littleroot somehow gave me a sense of comfort and relief that I got here.

... I guess moving homes aren't all that bad after all.

Taking in the sweet scent of the breeze, I close my eyes and enjoy a bit of the area around me. It was a fresh new start, moving here to the Hoenn region.

"Y/N~! We're here, honey!" a familiar voice sounded from the house. I turned to see my mother, closing the door of our new house and walking toward me with an enthusiastic and loving smile.

"Yeah, Mom... We've finally arrived..." I smiled genuinely.

"It must be tiring riding with our things in the moving truck..." She smiled at me apologetically, noticing a slightly exhausted look on my face.

"Well, I did feel a bit dizzy on the way, but I'm good... You know me... I'm your son so-"

"Ahahaha~! That's my boy!" She immediately pats my back and rubbed my hair, before looking out to the area around us. "Well, here we are... Littleroot town."

"How do you like it? This is our new home!" She smiled and was excited to see our new home, walking around and checking each detail of the town.

"It has a quaint feel, but it seems to be an easy place to live, don't you think?"

"Oh, right! You get your room! I'd say we should check on it, Y/N! Let's go inside!"

Without anything else, she took my hand and the two of us finally went inside our new residence. She opened the door, revealing a few Machokes helping out with our stuff. It was a house with a nice interior, the simplistic design of the living room and everything else truly gave a welcoming aura and a good impression on both of us.

"See, Y/N? Isn't it nice in here too?" She gestured to our house. "The mover's Pokemon do all the work of moving us in and cleaning up after! It's so convenient!"

"Yeah, it is..." I smiled as I walked around and took some time to take it all in, that this was our new home. Before I could walk over to the living room, my mother called for my attention.

"Y/N, your room is upstairs. You should probably check it out, dear!" She smiled at me.

"Alright Mom, I'll check it all out," I replied with a small smile, before carrying one of the boxes and going upstairs, and having a glimpse of my new quarters.

I opened the door to my room, revealing a simplistic design

and like any other room would be; slightly dusty. With that, I finally put down the box and began to unpack most of my stuff, and did a bit of cleaning as well. I took a little time to take it all in, and finally, let it all sink into me that this was my new home.
