It was a peaceful morning.
The sun was shining bright in the sky, the sounds of nature truly being music to the ears.
With the distant squawks of Wingulls flying up and above the clouds, and the trees swaying along with the cool breeze...
There's nothing like a peaceful morning-
"HIYAAAHHH!!!"
I heard a loud explosion from outside, causing me to jolt up awake and rush towards the area of the disaster.
"WHAT THE-?! HINA?!"
"Oh! You're finally awake!!! Good morning, Master!!!"
Hina smiled, as she stood by her disastrous creation. Everything in the garden was burnt to ashes, leaving not even a single plant left.
"Hina... What the hell are you doing?!" I exclaimed, completely shocked at what happened.
"Oh, nothing! I'm just warming up and getting ready for the gym!" Hina cheerfully chimed as if it was nothing.
"Warm-ups are really important, ya' know-OWOWOWOWOW!"
"THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO BURN DOWN NURSE JOY'S BERRY GARDEN!" I scolded her as I pulled on her ear.
"I'm terribly sorry, Nurse Joy." I looked at the nurse with an apologetic look, which to my surprise would be returned by a gentle and heartwarming smile.
"It's alright... Your Pokemon was really lively when she wanted to play in the garden..." She smiled. "I'm glad that she's having her fun!"
...
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! SHE DESTROYED EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! AND YOU'RE GLAD THAT SHE INCINERATED YOUR BERRIES?!
"Y-You're alright with this...? She just burned it all down..." I couldn't believe her remarks at all, and I'm sure planting those berries aren't that of an easy task at all.
"Ah, no need to worry... We can just plant some more to replace the ones that we lost." She beamed a smile.
God damn, she's so optimistic.
...
We really need more of people who can see the bright side of things. It's kind of surprising Nurse Joy would think that way. But still, it was not definitely not okay for my Pokemon to destroy their resources.
"I-I see... I apologize once again for Hina's mess..." I sheepishly chuckled at her behavior and once again apologized to the nurse.
"You must be lucky young man..." Nurse Joy smiled once again.
"Huh?" I looked back at Nurse Joy, confused of what she meant by that.
"Your Combusken is different. It's as if she stands out among her kind." She smiled. "I haven't seen any other Pokemon with those features before... As if she was like a human."
"I see..."
...
Later on, the two of us went out of the Pokemon Center when we spotted a certain Taillow walking around outside.
"Good morning, Y/N-sama." Yone greeted, the moment our eyes met.
"Good morning... Did you sleep well?" I asked.
"... I did. However it was quickly disrupted by a loud explosion outside." Yone nodded.
Hearing her remark, I immediately look at Hina.
"D-Don't look at me like that! I was just warming up!" She retorted, looking away embarrassed from what happened earlier.
"...As expected..." Yone sighed in realization.
