It was a beautiful sunny day in London, Danielle and her daughter, Bernie, were outside in the back garden and having a laugh while hanging out the washing. Mother and daughter were engaged in a playful fight as Leo soon came out interrupting them, he told Danielle that two people were at the front door. The blonde finished hanging the washing out and stopped play fighting with Bernie, they walked to the front door and Danielle soon stopped in her tracks.

The two people immediately recognised her and quickly ran to her; "Auntie Danielle!" They said as she opened her arms around them and held them close, "Ruben and Phoenix, look at you both." She said still not quite believing her own eyes, these two were the twins she knew from being three years old, and they each looked like their mother, Caitlin. As they got to know each other again, Danielle tells them that their mother was back in London and Melanie was also there. The twins got upset and revealed to their auntie that Melanie had forced their mother to give them up but their mother didn't want too as it broke her heart having to give them up.

As they rested up, Danielle contacted Tommy and he told her that they found the house where Melanie was seen coming to and from, the house was searched and they found blood in the basement as well as fingerprints. He also tells her that the DNA tests came back as belonging to Caitlin, and Danielle tells him that Melanie had kidnapped Caitlin twenty-nine years ago before she later forced the brunette to give up her twins who are now with Danielle at the Manor. Tommy promises to keep her updated at all times and she thanks him, they hang up and Danielle goes to check on the twins, they are fast asleep snuggled up together and she smiles as she wraps them up warm.

*Later that evening*

It was later that evening, and Danielle had just gone to bed with Bernie as the twins decided to watch Netflix, as she and Bernie were just about to settle down for the night, the bedroom door opened and in walked Caitlin - she had been beaten up and had bruises on her body - she burst into tears as she sprinted to the blonde and Danielle held her in her arms. The brunette sobbed into her chest as Danielle had her left hand on Caitlin's head as her right hand rubbed soothing circles on her back, Caitlin felt safe once again and Danielle wasn't going to let her go again.

Bernie leaves them be to go and spend some time with her wife Serena, the blonde got a bath with Caitlin and cleaned her up as the brunette remained quiet, after the bath they settled into bed and Caitlin stayed in the blonde's arms. Danielle kissed Caitlin's head softly as the brunette smiled softly she had definitely missed the blonde and her soft touch; "I have missed you baby."

"I missed you too, Caitlin. What happened after that case?"

"Melanie, forced her way into my car and then told me that I was going with her but I said no and she hit me, I was so scared and I drove to school to pick up the twins. I tried to save myself and the twins by telling the teacher to keep me inside but Melanie appeared and pushed me to the car as the twins cried silently. After a long drive, I pulled up at a motel and she locked the twins in the bathroom, I tried to get to them but she stopped me and pushed me on the bed, I knew what she was going to do so I tried to fight her off but she pinned me down and covered my mouth so I couldn't scream for help. In the morning, I went to the bathroom and scrubbed myself clean I tried to contact you but she had destroyed my phone. When she woke up we got into the car and then after reaching California, she forced me to give up the twins and I said no, and this time she beat me and then she cut me down there before threatening to dangle me over the balcony. The next day, she was there when I cried so hard at giving them up and the twins were really clingy to me, the social worker knew that I didn't want to give them up and she knew something was very wrong. After that we moved to Wales and the abuse escalated each time, I quit police work and became a trauma Surgeon, when I had saved enough money, I changed my name and divorced Melanie before returning here to London but she followed me." Explained the brunette as Danielle nodded while listening to her.

"I'm sorry baby, I should have been there to protect you and the twins."

"It's ok Danielle, I didn't know this would happen if I did I would have let you pick them up and we would be happy even now."

They smiled at each other before the twins come into the bedroom, and Caitlin is shocked to see them but she happily embraces them as they embrace her. She spends time with her children and rebonds with them, they relive the happy memories of their childhood with Danielle and they look at the old pictures and even watch the family videos.
