Dark Cacao was sitting alone in his throne room. It was the first time in a while he could be fully alone in the Citadel. He didn't expect Carmel Arrow to come in, she was holding something... an envelope.
"What is it?" Dark Cacao spoke out as She knocked on the door. "I have something for you sir Cacao. It's a message from one of the Cookies of Darkness." She slowly approaches him, bowing down once she gets close enough before handing him the letter. Dark Cacao opens it, a little surprised, a little concerned. It was from his son, Dark Choco.
"Well what is it? A warning? A threat on the Citadel?" Caramel Arrow asks awaiting an answer. Dark Cacao speaks out. "It's from Dark Choco cookie, my son." Caramel looks at her king in surprise. "Dark Choco cookie?! What does he want? If it's to take your soul jam I'll get the guards ready now!" She stands up in attention. "From how he puts it he just wants to 'be with his father again'... Get the guards ready just in case, We don't know what trickery he's playing." "Yes Sir!" Caramel gives a quick salute before running off.

Dark Choco slowly approaches the Citadel of the Cacao kingdom, knowing that there will be guards, he brought his sword. Although, he didn't plan on using it at all. He finally reached the opening to the Citadel. "Dark Choco cookie!" Caramel holds her bow out, it's aimed for his head. "State your reason for coming here!" Dark Choco slowly put down his sword and lifted his hands. "I come in peace, I have no intention to attack the Citadel." He waited for a reply.
"Let him in, but stay armed." Caramel lowers her bow and arrow as the door opens. Guards everywhere, he wasn't that surprised though. He knows what harm he had done here. "Dark Choco cookie." He slowly raises his head to see his father, Dark Cacao. "Father I-" "Come in. I know you have no intent to harm me." Dark Choco takes a few seconds to step forward, he didn't want to startle the guards. He'd left his sword in the snow.
The door closed behind him as it began to snow lightly. "Come, things have changed since your last visit." Dark Choco began to follow his father. Caramel Arrow right behind them. "Don't mind her. You're unarmed. So unless you try to strangle me you'll be fine." His tone stayed the same. It was hard to tell if he was joking or not. They made it to Dark Choco's old room.
Dark Choco opened the same door he haven't touched in years. Everything he left behind was there. His toys, fake crown and sword, everything. Although, there where bugs. "I want to be alone with my son, Arrow. Go guard the gate incase the others have followed him." He gives Caramel an order "Yes King Cacao!" She leaves in an instant, leaving the two in the once, childish, room.
Dark Choco sat on his bed, remembering every little thing he used to do. "The day you left, everything changed." Dark Cacao said, swiping away the dust on a wooden sword. "I know. And I regret it." He looks down. Dark Cacao sits next to him. "You know when you where freshly baked you used to love the sight of my sword. You would sometimes fall asleep with it in your arms." Dark Choco gives him a light smile to only go back to looking down. "I'm sorry Father.." His tone changed slightly "Your deeds of evil can not be forgiven, you know that. We all do." The pit of gilt only filled in more as he said that.
Dark Choco gets up, swipes the the rest of the dust of the sword and grabs it. "Like old times?" Dark Cacao stands with him. The two nodded in a play-duel. Dark Cacao grabs his sword had lightly swings it at the darkened prince, he blocks it easily. They continue the childish duel for a short while, stopping to the sound of a door opening. It was Caramel. She was holding a tray with the Cacao Kingdoms snacks with two glasses of water. "I thought you two might be hungry."
Dark Cacao had left the room to have a quick talk with her. Choco looked at his fathers sword, It had his soul jam on it. It was tempting to take it and leave, but something made it difficult too. The door opened once again to an empty room with swords on the floor. Dark Choco was nowhere, not the closest, under the bed... he wasn't in the room anymore. "Cacao sir, the window! He must've climbed out..." Caramel pointed to the window. As she looked out, faded footprints could be seen through the think snow. "He'd run off... I'll set the Citadel on lock down right now!" She left the room yet again. Dark Cacao went back to the front in look of Choco's sword. Footprints and a hole where all that were there.
The Citadel went on lockdown for three days after that. It was a wasted effort.
