Chapter 3: No Return

A/N: Hey guys long time no hear Sorry for the long wait first person life was a bit difficult and I hoped that a few other people would take part in the vote that was last Chapter. But as there where only three people participating I got luckily a winner of what type of Honkai Gene/abilities Y/N would get. As the winner was Vampirism. So anyway I hope you will enjoy the future development on this book.

Y/N POV:
After many months as Soldiers with the Moths a certain event was slowly approaching.

Emma:"So from what I remember is DR.MEI currently working on the Mantis project with Mobius."

Ben:"And Elysia was also enlisted a few weeks ago as well."

Y/N:"Yeah by how the things have turned out in the Game is Kevin his entire plan needed to seal the Honkai on the moon this kinda sucks, as I have no idea what else we could do."

Emma:"I think changing aspects as that will be rather impossible sadly. Even with the pain that Himeko her death brought Kiana and us it is needed that Kiana will mature into who she is in the end. A smart and mature woman."

Ben:"Even tho I don't fully agree on the smart part Emma is right. It is almost like it is a Canon event that needs to happen."
Ben said as he played the Miguel O'Hara theme

Y/N:"I swear to god you really enjoy this theme a bit to much Ben."

Ben:"Hey not my fault that I liked the Spider-verse Movies."

Emma:"So anyway. Have you two figured out what Honkai gene you would like to bond with once the Mantis operations begin?"

Ben:"Well I am from us three the strongest then maybe a Honkai beast gene that increases my durability as well as my strength."

Emma:"True that. And you Y/N what about you?"

Y/N was quiet for a bit as he thought about it.

Y/N:"Well I remember hearing some things from a Honkai Beasts that attacked a squad a few days back as only there corpses where found sucked dry of blood."

Ben:"No Y/N that is a stupid idea."

Emma:"I agree to Ben we do not know what that Honkai beast is and how dangerous it is. If it was able to defeat a squad on its own then it is extremely dangerous. Not only to fight but then also for you as the consequences would be dire."

Y/N:"I know that Honkai Genes are a gamble but don't forget that even the flame Chasers had a weakness in there mutations."

Ben:"Don't remind me Mobius her reversed aging still give me the creeps."

Emma:"Oh man Up it wasn't so bad."

Y/N:"Ok, I think we should go to the others from what I remember Elysia will be starting with collecting people for the Flame Chasers, once the Herrscher of Flames disaster happened."

Emma:"Yeah we should go."

Ben:"Yeah you're right."

Y/N:"Ok then let's go."

You say as the three of you leave your room, to walk through the base

Y/N:"Hey Ben, Emma you two go to the caffeteria I want to talk with someone really quick."

Emma:"Huh? Uhm ok Y/N but don't take to long ok."
Y/N:"Yeah it's gonna be quick see you guys in a bit."

Y/N said as he jogged to the laboratory of the base, where he knocks on one of the doors

Y/N:"Hello doctor, may I come in?"
I ask in a calm voice
???:"Y/N is that you? Come in."

As I hear that I enter the lab I see the current head of the science branch before me

Mobius:"Good Morning Y/N what brings you here this early in the morning?"
Y/N:"Uhm dpDoctor Mobius it is 9 am it isn't that early."
Mobius:"What 9 already? Ugh not again."
Y/N:"Let me guess Klein forgot to tell you to stop working and you worked through the night."
Mobius:"More or less they were very tired yesterday and I gave them an early finish. I only wanted to finish with the simulation set up but I kinda finished it fully."
Y/N:"Doctor I came her to ask for a favour."
Mobius:"Oh? And that would be?"
Y/N:"I saw that you and Dr.MEI whee working together to create a procedure to splice Honkai Genes into our own Genes."
Mobius:"Wait you actually read that mountain of a text document?"
Y/N:"Yes more or less. I would volunteer to be one of the first people to endure the procedure."
Mobius:"You do realise that this has a very high fatality rate by the simulations. And what Honkai gene would even interest you. I doubt that the Genes we collected is to your style of fighting."
Y/N:"Well I have one in mind but to gain this I kinda need a team to capture this Vampiric Honkai beast that was going rampage in sector 6."
As you said that you could see Mobius her face turn from serious to shocked and then interested
Mobius:"You have my attention my dear Y/N. So the Honkai gene that interests you is from this thing even tho we do not know how it even looks your interest in unknown Honkai beasts reminds me of myself. I can get the higher ups to give me a chance to get that Honkai beasts gene for you give me a bit of time I'll contact you once we got a squad that achieved in securing a sample of it."
Y/N:"Thank you doctor."
Mobius:"No need to thank me I had an interest for this Honkai beast already but now I have a way to get the higher ups to secure a sample of it when I say that it can be used for the experiment of MEI and me."
You  nod as she says that as you leave the laboratory and return to Emma and Ben

Emma:"Ah there you are you took your sweet time there Y/N."
Y/N:"Yeah yeah come on let's get to the cafeteria."

No one POV:

As Y/N says that Ben and Emma nod, as the three of them walk to the cafeteria not knowing that a Pink haired elf eared girl overheard the talk of Y/N and Mobius smiling to herself

Elysia:"Hmm maybe is Y/N a good choice for some help when he really does survive the operation."

A/N: Hey Guys well this book finally returned after a break that was way to long, I hope you all enjoyed todays chapter I can basically only write on a few special times in the week so be patient if it takes a bit longer for the next chapter to drop, as Arc 1 is finally over and almost no new lore about the Moth is being given to Us I can finally write knowing that the lore will not become more packed. Until we meet again
