Ivy smiled as she sat near the window of her favorite cafe with her book she did the same thing everyday, sit in the same spot and read till the cafe closes.
"Are you ever going to get sick of coming here?" Her favorite waitress Ava asked
She smiled "Never."
Ava rolled her eyes "Well another cup of coffee along with the same old chocolate chip cookie."
"Thanks Ava." The girl smiled
Going back to her book she read the front door bell ring signaling that another person walked in but she didn't bother looking up she knew almost everyone who came here.
But hearing the chair in front of her scratch against the floor she quickly looked up seeing a boy.
"Can I sit here?" He asked smiling
Out of all the places he could've sit he wanted to sit with her "Sure."
"I'm Colby." He said holding his hand out
"Ivy." She said shaking his hand
They didn't say anything after that Ivy went back to her book while Colby say there admiring the girl infront of him. To say the very least he thought that she was beautiful, but he wasn't going to say that to her yet or anytime soon.
Ivy could feel his eyes on her but it didn't make her feel uncomfortable so she didn't say anything as she finished the last page of her sighing in sadness for how it ended.
"Something wrong?" The dark hair boy asked
"Yeah the way my book ended." She said closing it
"Why?" He asked now interested
"Because I'll the books I read always end in some type of sad way." She said resting her chin on her hand
He slightly smiled "Then why don't you read a book with a happy ending?"
"I do but then it reminds me of my sad life." She looked at boy waiting for him to laugh
"Well then, you seem passionate about books."
"I love books." She said taking a sip of her coffee before grabbing the cookie
She split it on half before giving it to the boy infront of her who gladly took it.
"I hope I see you around." She said standing up grabbing her book and bag before leaving
"So do I." Colby mumbled before leaving
