Ivy was still getting hate from people, but it was worse than before telling Colby that she needed space to think. She didn't want to break things off with Colby even though they didn't make it official, but yet she didn't know how much longer she could handle this.
"Here you go hun." The waitress smiled
"Thank you." Ivy smiled
She found herself in the coffee shop where she first met Colby, it was dark and the rain was tapping against the window. Her book was sitting out in front of her and now her tea joined with her book.
She took a deep breath before looking back down at the pages letting it take her away from reality.
Letting her believe that she was part of it.
Letting her believe that things were official with Colby.
And even let her believe that she wasn't being treated like shit.
The bell above the door ringed but Ivy ignored it until the chair in front of her scraped against the floor.
"I thought I'd find you here pretty girl."
Ivy looked up to see Colby sitting in front of her drenched from the rain, she was able to see the outline of his tattoos from his thin white shirt.
"What do you need Colby?" She asked
She didn't want to sound mean but that's how it came out.
"I want you to come home and talk to me. To talk to Sam or Katrina about how you feel."
Ivy ignored him.
"I've talked to them, but you know how they are. There are people on our side who want us together, Ivy."
She looked at him tears threatening to spill down her face and onto her book.
He took a deep breath "I want us to be together."
Ivy's heart stopped.
She couldn't believe that he actually admitted it, she thought that they were always going to act like the couple type then say to someone they are just friends.
"I do too, Colby." She said breaking the silence
He smiled showing off his white teeth "So you'll be my girlfriend?"
