I wake up on a couch in the lobby. I slept here last night instead of going home. I stand up and walk into the office. The headmistress office.

"Miri. Can you broadcast my voice for me?" I ask.

"Of course Gillian." Miri replies.

Miri sends out the broadcast to all mirrors in the school.

"Hello students. My name is Gillian. Flora has gone on a small break, so in the time being, I will be in charge. My friends and I will be helping and working around the school." I announce.

I can tell that the students are a little confused, even from the office I stand in.

"For the first few days, we are going to ease into things. I will be walking around, checking on classrooms. If you need anything, feel free to come ask me. Teachers, if you have any concerns please come talk with me about it." I continue.

Miri cuts off the broadcast and I walk out of the office, going to the front office to see if my friends have arrived. After a few minutes, I ask Miri to call the houses of my friends.

They all answer and we talk as a group for a few minutes. Eventually, they all agree to come.

I walk to the main office and sit in the chair at the desk. It feels weird. I don't know how to feel actually. I never thought I'd be here. I thought Flora would be here forever. She's the headmistress, of course it's right for her to sit here forever. To always be here for students who need guidance.

"Troublemakers. Thieves. Mischievous kids. That's what the students are, what you and your group are. I know you can relate to the kids, but maybe you can relate too much. If you understand them too well, you won't be able to enforce rules." One of the teachers says.

"You can't take care of all these kids, you're too young." Another teacher says.

Just then, Maxine, Ollie, and Kayla walk in.

"Hey Gilly. We're here to help." Kayla says while shooing some of the teachers out of the office.

"I assure you, I can enforce rules even if I understand the children. Maybe even better. And no, I'm not to young for this, I'm a very responsible person." I respond to the first two teachers just before Kayla pushes them out.

I stand from the chair I was sitting in. Then I walk around the desk and hug my friends.

"Hey dude. You seem stressed. It's only been like an hour." Ollie says.

"It's a lot more work than you'd think." I explain.

Just then, a young woman steps into the room. She's about 12 by the looks of it and she looks nervous.

"Hello, how can I help you?" I ask, walking over to the girl and putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Miss Gillian? Can you see if I can get a different roommate? My current one keeps saying that I look like a boy because of my haircut." She says.

I frown then grab a folder from the desk, looking through the available female roommates.

"Amber still needs a roommate. The last one graduated early. And I love your haircut. It's very cute." I say.

The girl smiles then gives me a hug.

"Thank you Miss Gillian. Should I go move my stuff now or should I wait? Do I have to do paperwork?" She asks.

"No, it's okay. Go ahead and move your stuff now. Maxine will help you." I say.

Maxine nods in agreement then leads the girl out of the room.

The rest of our friends arrive a few moments later. Jax, AG, Jocelyn, Hayley and Jack (he came with Hayley).

When they walk in I'm going through papers, reading some complaints that the children leave in a box.

"Hey guys!" I say, looking up from a letter about the bathrooms.

I quickly get up and hug the rest of my friends. Kayla and Ollie do the same. Maxine's still helping the girl from earlier.

I sit back down at the desk and continue going through the letters. Kayla and Ollie join. We all set aside the letters that we think we should get to first.

"What are you doing and how can we help?" AG asks.

"We're going through the box of complaining. Grab a stack of letters and start reading. The ones that look important go in that pile, the ones that can wait go in that pile." I explain.

We all get to work.
