The next two weeks flew by and the band found themselves at the final day of rehearsals. Despite their way too drunk and touchy feely night out at the beginning, Stevie and Lindsey had somehow managed to make it through the rest of rehearsals without crossing any more lines — though it wasn't easy. As often as she could, Stevie brought Lily with her to the studio, hoping her daughter would act as a buffer to prevent any heated indiscretions she and Lindsey might find themselves in. And luckily, it had worked.

To celebrate the kick off of the tour, the entire band and crew was gathering at Mick's house for a party after their final rehearsal. They had five days until they left for the first show, and this was the last hurrah at home before they all readjusted to life on the road.

"Lindsey," Kristen called to her husband across the room, "Can you grab me a glass of wine?" She asked as she balanced Stella on her hip in the midst of the party.

He nodded, wordlessly heading towards the lavish, fully-stocked bar table that Mick set up. In true Mick fashion, he'd gone a little over-the-top for this house party, but it was the first Mac party in a long time and it felt worthy of a special celebration. As Lindsey watched all the kids run around, however, he couldn't help but think of how different it all felt now.

"Oh, wine tonight, very fancy Buck," Christine teased Lindsey as he poured the glass.

He smirked, "It's for Kristen. Hey, where in the world is Stevie?"

"Running late as usual. Why, are you anxious to try to sneak off with her into a dark hallway?" Christine grinned.

Lindsey couldn't hide the look of shock from his face, evidently all the times he'd tried to follow Stevie out of the rehearsal studio the last two weeks hadn't gone entirely unnoticed by the rest of the band. He faked a laugh, "What? I don't know what you're talking about, Chris."

"Sure, Buck, sure."

As he turned around to bring Kristen her glass of wine, Stevie made her entrance hand-in-hand with Dave as Lily and his two kids followed them closely behind. Lindsey couldn't help but stop and stare, the way they looked like a proper family made his stomach drop. He watched as Dave took Stevie's jacket off her shoulders, her long hair sweeping around as she flipped it away. Laughing at something Stevie said, Dave placed a kiss on her lips, which only caused her to laugh harder and shake her head. Lindsey couldn't help but remember all the times he interrupted her laughter with a kiss over the years.

"Lindsey!" Kristen's voice in front of him snapped him from his thoughts, "Jeez, you could never make it as a waiter, are you teasing me with the wine glass?"

He turned to her with a meek smile on his lips, "Sorry, Kit, here you go."

Kristen took the glass, but continued to glare at her husband. She'd seen the way he was watching Stevie with her boyfriend and she wanted to slap him straight across the face, but she knew she had to pretend she didn't notice it at all.

"Hi Linds," Stevie grinned as she approached them, quickly wrapping her arms around him for a hug.

"Hi Stevie," he breathed into her hair as he hugged her back tightly.

"Oh Kristen, I'd love for you to meet my boyfriend, Dave. Dave, this is Lindsey's wife, Kristen," Stevie introduced the two as Lindsey once again watched. He felt like he was having an out of body experience he wished he didn't have to witness.

"I've heard so many great things, it's so nice to finally meet you. And I hear you'll be joining us for the first week of tour too?" Kristen said, shaking his hand.

"Likewise!" Dave grinned, his arm now holding Stevie tightly against him, "Yes, I'm really excited for my first Fleetwood Mac tour."

"You think you can keep up?" Stevie teased him, grabbing his chin in her hand playfully.

"With you? Never," he winked.

Lindsey rolled his eyes, suddenly desperate for a drink - or three. Politely excusing himself, he made his way back to the bar where he met Mick and John for an ice cold glass of whiskey. As the party went on, they all found themselves in Mick's backyard patio area and finally, the atmosphere turned into less of an "awww, how cute are the kids" party and more of a drunk, rowdy Mac party.

"Stevie's neverrrr been allowed to bring her boyfriends on the road," Mick teased as everyone stood around now.

"They were always such babies, so jealous of every guy Chrissy and I looked at," she rolled her eyes as everyone laughed. "But now I'm going to ogle my man in front of you all and there's nothing you can do about it," she sneered jokingly.

Everyone laughed as she made her way towards Dave, who was sitting at one of the tables. Playfully, she straddled his lap, placing a kiss on his lips as everyone broke out in whistles and laughter. He grinned against her mouth, gripping onto her hips and pulling her down against his lap harder now. He was more than happy to show off his woman.

"Hey," she giggled pulling back from his face, "Watch it, mister."

"Oh, so only you're allowed to tease me?" He playfully bantered back with her.

"Yes, you're finally learning."

He threw his head back in laughter and Lindsey just about threw up at the entire scene. His eyes were glued to the two of them, at this point not even registering anything else happening at the party. He couldn't help but stare as Stevie arched her back atop Dave's lap, remembering how she always used to playfully straddle him backstage at the most awkward times, just to make him squirm. He always loved every second of it.

Now, he needed yet another drink, hurriedly going in for his third - or was it fourth? - whiskey. He escaped into the inside kitchen, needing some peace and solitude from the Stevie and Dave show unfolding outside. As he threw back another whiskey, he accidentally knocked over a stack of paper cups, sending them all tumbling across the floor.

"What in the world are you doing in here?" Stevie appeared from around the corner, eyeing him wearily.

"Whiskey time," he raised a glass towards her, obviously a little drunk. She raised an eyebrow.

"You're making a mess," she shook her head bending over to pick up all the cups.

He hurried behind her, bending over to help her pick them all up. Losing his balance, he accidentally bumped against her ass, causing her to gasp in surprise and stand up.

"Sorry," he mumbled, "I know that's just for Daveeeee now," his tone was equal parts sarcastic and jealous.

"Lindsey," she shot him a look, "You're drunk."

"Am not."

She took another step towards him, taking the whiskey from his hand, "Are too. Spare yourself the headache tomorrow."

He rolled his eyes, playfully moving closer to her, "You're always sooo responsible now, Stevie. Don't you get bored of it? I miss being irresponsible together."

"You're being irresponsible now," she whispered, hoping nobody outside the kitchen could hear him and his flirty tone.

"Don't act like you haven't been thinking about that night outside your door."

A light blush instantly spread across her cheeks, "I don't know what you're talking about. You're drunk."

"Not too drunk to know that we won't be able to resist this temptation forever."

"Speak for yourself," she rolled her eyes.

He eyed her with a sneaky grin, like he knew something she didn't, "Please, I saw you staring at my hands earlier. And I know you were thinking about when they used to play you. Maybe wondering what it would feel like now."

She tried her best to appear completely unaffected by his words and the accuracy behind them, "You're disgusting."

"But am I wrong?"

"You better go get a glass of water and sober the hell up. Don't you dare start with this behavior right before the tour begins. We are professionals. This tour will NOT be like any of the last. Get that through your head," she demanded in a low voice before swiftly turning out and leaving him alone in the kitchen.
