A diamond hidden within the gray line

Chapter 60: Raw emotions, max's rememberance and ludwig's reveal.

-Larry pov-

Stars, this sooo boring! Isn't dad done with whatever he's doing?! What about kamek?! I gotta do SOMETHING! I quickly think of what to do just to get rid of boredom... "Larry, whatever you're thinking of, don't." Ludwig says with a glare as he stares at me. "Me? I'm not thinking of anything." I say in a innocent tone while trying not to giggle. "BULLSHIT. You got that shit eating smirk, and we ALL know you are gonna pull something!" Roy says while crossing his arms. "Well, i don't see YOU doing anything!" I called out roy who uh..didn't like that.

"You're cruisin' for a bruising..." Roy says angrily while wendy didn't even bother to look at any of us while looking at her phone. While morton is at least trying to hold him back.

              Um...shit...do i need to start running..?

-Narration-

Lemmy began to look uncomfortable as max watches while the rest of the koopalings and junior bicker among themselves. "What don't we walk around?" Max asked him. "Sure!" He quickly says, showing relief on his face as they both walk down the nearest hall while marx silently floats towards them becoming far more curious about what max will do.

-Marx pov-

Ah, finally! It's amazing how i'm able to predict what max is about to do...one could say that it's 'creepy', but i don't think so! Besides..it's not like i can predict the future. Oh, that would be dreadfully boring if i could do that!

-Narration-

Max and lemmy stroll along the long corridor while max sees a few pictures of bowser. Many of which make him look incredibly imposing. However, max's mind is elsewhere...almost as if something is guiding him and unaware that lemmy noticed that max is acting weird. "Hey! You ok?" He hears lemmy say which catches his attention. "Huh? Oh..uh..yeah." Max answers in a nonchalant manner. "Come on, you don't gotta act like roy." Lemmy says who could easily tell that something is on max's mind. "Heh..let's just say that i have a..unexpected talent even though i can only play one song." Max says to lemmy, who quickly becomes confused while the bickering of the koopalings and junior can still be heard.

"It's difficult to explain, but.." Max starts to say before he comes across a door that looked...untouched for a couple of years. "Where does this lead?" He asked. "Oh..that was one the living rooms...the one where..mom loved. No one's been in that room ever since she died." Lemmy answers with a hint of sadness in his voice.

-Max pov-

Considering that there's so many rooms in this castle, i'm just surprised i wasn't shown this room. Yet..based on what lemmy just said...it sounds like this door leads to a lot of past memories. "Well? Go on, go inside!" I hear marx say impatiently. "Why are you.." Lemmy began to ask marx before i slowly open the door. "You don't have to come with me. I..i just need to remember." I say to lemmy in a somber tone. I don't know why..but i think it's the memory of when i tried to sneak into toad town. Or rather..what happened afterwards. I need to do this...

-Lemmy pov-

Max..? Since when does max know how to play..? Is..is he trying to say that he can play on the piano? Oh man...what do i do?! Dad's two floors down, and the others are nearby...i have to at least tell somebody!

-Narration-

While Lemmy is frantically heading to the koopalings, max heads inside the room  and turns on the light. "Ack..fucking cobwebs.." Marx mutters as he gets one of him. The room had a massive plush carpet with a fireplace and a rather old jvc widescreen tv with a massive couch sitting in front of the tv and fireplace nearby. "Wow, this place looks like it's from the past!" Marx comments. "Lemmy did say that no one has been here since their mom died, so.." max explains before he sees the same grand piano he saw in ludwig's room, though this one is dusty. "Hm..it'll do." Max says we fire walking to it. "You actually know how to play the piano? My, you weren't kidding when you said that you have a unexpected talent." Marx says while max blows the dust off the piano before sitting on the chair in front of it and had no time to see if the piano could still play anything after what seemed to be years since anyone played.
