Chapter 13

NAVEEN'S POV

3 Days Later -

My vision was blurred, looking around seeing blotches of dots. My ears were ringing and all my senses were acting up. After a couple of minutes everthing began to clear up. Strangely, all my senses...hearing, sight, taste, smell and touch was enhanced.

I climbed out the bed and walked to the bathroom. I just stood there .....staring at myself. I could already feel the changes.

I'm no longer Naveen.....I'm a Warrior.

I smiled to myself as I climbed out of the window towards the lake.

My life....all the permanent scars on my heart. So many flashbacks of my horrid life. Getting beaten,molested, rapped, kidnapped and hurt by everyone could break someone.

Tears roll down my cheek as I laugh the pain away next to the lake and a old oak tree. I'm only 18 and been through hell and back. Never thought of just ending it ....I don't want an easy way out. I've got thicker skin. I grew up, stronger than I have ever been before.

Getting hurt over and over has made me become numb. I just killed a man, and almost died by crashing into that tree!

I still chuckle to myself uncontrollably.

What Have I Done to Live the Life I'm Living?

I'm ready to take action. .. to stand up for myself....to stop being weak. Everything that has happen to me will be a battle wound, it'll be a lesson that I will take pride in because I swear to you it'll never...happen again.

My heart was clutching tight and expanding...I was having a breakdown...my breathing was hard and I still laughed at my past.

There was a stirring deep down into my soul and I couldn't figure out way. It was like....something was pushing to get out, but now was not the time.

I saw Lyric marching towards with a very much worried look in his eyes. The same something deep within jump with excitement but I, however; was pissed. Did he really think he'll just waltz over here like everything is fine and dandy? The way he treated me the last time I saw him was.....Ugh!

That's when I finally looked around and realized where I was. Back at his lake house....

"Veen!" He said excitedly pulling me to an embrace but I pushed him off me.

"Why are you touching me exactly? " I spat out the words.

"Naveen, Look....Something has happen to you. I understand completely that your emotions are going to be running wild but just try to relax...alright?"

Relax....what the hell do he mean relax. How did I ever get here?

" Lyric why am I back here?" I asked not looking at him.

"Look after sometime of thinking I came looking for you and I saw what went down at your house so I decided to track you down. You were flipped over in a almost ignited car...if I came later then I had....." His words trailed off.

Unfortunately for him I have no sympathy at the moment.

I stale faced him, " Well thanks for saving me I'll be on my way now." I turned to march away but he grabbed my arm pulling me back towards him.

"Naveen stop!" I can tell he was becoming frustrated but so was I.

I chuckled," Why exactly do I need to stop Lyric, you did your part now let me leave!"

"Hell No, where are you going to go huh? Because I'll be damned if you think you going back to that fucking house Veen!"
His veins popped out and I knew he was having a hard time controlling his animal inside but the something inside me continued to stir and bubble.

I tried to make a agitated noise but it came out more like a growl and I sworn I felt my teeth grow.

Lyric sighed," Naveen, we both need to calm down or we might hurt eachother."

Everything about him was annoying me. For some odd reason I couldn't contain my rage.

"Lyric get away from me.... I..I can't be around you right now..." I breathed out and words struggled to come out.
Before I knew it I was darting towards the words.

Evading and dodging between trees, avoiding the high roots growing upwards in the ground.

"Naveen! Stop, you don't understand, you could be putting yourself in danger. You should be relaxing!"
I hear his shouts right on my heels.

I pressed on running faster. I was hating the fact that he was right behind me on my heels, why couldn't I get rid of him.

My breathe hitched as pain suddenly came over me.

"Argh!" The screams escape my throat without my control.

Lyric caught me before my falling body connected to the ground.

He cursed under his breathe as I felt his strong chest pulling me into him. "Why do you have to be so got damn hardheaded Veen!" His breathing became rugged.

I have never in my life felt the type of pain I was experiencing at this very moment.

"Lyric.....wha....what's happening?"

"Your having your first changing. Your a werewolf. ....and a werewolves first changing is never easy. That's why I was telling you to relax but you couldn't control your emotions because of the werewolf fever you didn't even know you were experiencing."

My brain ached, I didn't even know what was going on anymore. All I know for sure, were that my bones were shuffling under my skin. They were taking in a new form, they had a mind of it's own.

A piercing scream escaped my mouth.

"Shh Veen, everything is going to be alright. I'm going to be right here going through it all with you right by your side." Lyric told me as he rubbed my head and patted my back as I got on my hands and knees.

A vile smell filled my nose. To my surprise it was coming from me, I threw up everything and hadn't realized. Only thing I can feel is my bones grinding against eachother.

Throughout the change I can hear Lyric speaking to me and constantly trying to calm me down but I couldn't hear him. He sounded muffled like I was under water.

Lyric got face to face with me as I started to feel the sweat drip off me. My screams turned into growls and unhumanly snarls.

Lyric changed forms quickly infront of me. He was the beast I saw kill Warren a year ago. He was still somewhat in human form just more....creature-like. His nails were long, sharp ....his teeth were also sharp, the hair on his head hanged stringy draped across his forehead, his skin was an unhumanly blue but yet his eyes were that same piercing grey. Even seeing him in this form didn't scare me, his eyes calmed me.

Soon I was a wolf running around, searching the woods, figuring out what all I could do.

Lyric chuckled at me at first because I was moving like a baby deer unable to stand let alone run.

Before I knew I was exhausted and changed back into human form. My clothes were shreaded in transition.

Lyric changed back shortly after I did.

He chuckled atherwards taking off his shirt," Well, this isn't how I exactly envisioned my first time seeing you naked like."

I looked down blushing as he tossed my his shirt. I threw it over my head. He's lucky he doesn't turn into a wolf and have his clothes shredded completely. He scooped me up bridal style heading back towards his home as I fell into my deep longing sleep.
