Someone is knocking on the door. I told whoever it is to come in. The door opens as I see who it is. I'm breathing in and out as I can't believe he's here.

Clay Jensen: Hi.

Hannah Baker: Hi.

Clay comes in as he closes the door. Clay just takes a seat next to my bed as he takes a look at my scars. I immediately cover them up.

Clay Jensen: Sorry. I didn't mean to...

Hannah Baker: It's ok, Clay.

We both stay silent. We both don't know what to say to each other.

Clay Jensen: Sooo...

Hannah Baker: They told me what you've been doing since you listened to them. The tapes.

Clay closes his eyes and exhales.

Clay Jensen: Yeah, about everything that I've done...

Hannah Baker: What were you thinking? Taking a naked picture of Tyler and spread it around school. Keying Zach's car. Your tantrum at school. Posting my tapes online.

Clay Jensen: I know. I know. I wasn't thinking straight.

Hannah Baker: You're better than that, Clay.

Clay Jensen: I'm sorry that I did all that. I'm sorry for not sticking up for you before. Those tapes. They've messed with my head. And then the trial, learning all these thing that you didn't put on the tapes. Like you and Zach last summer.

I can't believe he'd even bringing Zach up.

Hannah Baker: Clay, if you're here to judge me...

Clay Jensen: I just wished you've told me. Been honest with me. Like with what happened with Jeff.

Oh, god. Now he's bringing up Jeff.

Clay Jensen: I know, you tried to tell me but I just took it out on you. I'm sorry, you didn't deserve that.

Hannah Baker: But I did. I'm half responsible for Jeff. I didn't get to a phone in time. Someone had already called 911 and reported it.

Clay Jensen: Hannah... it was me. I called 911. I found Jeff.

Oh, my god. It was Clay who reported the crash.

Hannah Baker: Why didn't you say something?

Clay Jensen: I was sad and mad. Mostly mad at Jeff because I thought he lied to me. He told me that he had 2 beers 2 hours before he left. I believed him.

Hannah Baker: Sheri told me that she turn herself in and did 5 months.

Clay Jensen: Yeah. She recently got out.

Hannah Baker: I listened to the tape you made. Where you confronted Bryce and took a beating for me.

Clay Jensen: You listened to it?

Hannah Baker: Well, you did posted them online. I had Jess play it for me. You did that for me?

Clay Jensen: Yeah.

Hannah Baker: Why?

Clay Jensen: For starters, I don't hate you like you told Mr. Porter. I never hated you. When I listened to my tape, I thought back to that night when we were in Jessica's room. I thought I did something wrong. I left because I only wanted to respect your wishes. After I heard it, I blamed myself for everything that happened that night.
