    Chapter 15, Halloween Costumes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     " Maturing is realizing that you can't make fun of your trauma... I'm not mature, y'all stay safe though. "
     ~ Scarlett's POV ~
     Ah yes, Halloween, my favorite time of the year.
  Where you dress up as something scary, like your usual self and ask strangers for candy or go to parties, or babysit because you like scaring children. Weirdo.
   Anyways, it's my favorite year because I get to go in matching costumes with Xiomara and we always rock them.
  Last year was girl scouts which was the joke of the year, literally, everyone kept asking us for cookies.
    But this year, this year we gotta wear something that makes a statement.
  And what is that statement you are all wondering about or asking yourself?
   "Scarlett we're not going as minions from despicable me."
      Xiomara shot down my idea as I finished feeding my baby brother and placing him down in his crib.
   I looked at her like she had just shot me.
  "The party's a week from now, it'll be a good last minute costume!"
   I tried convincing but she only looked at me like I was weird, I sighed and gave up.
   "Alright, then you go ahead and try to come up with a costume idea."
     I stated, Delilah was out of town since last week for a therapy session.
   She didn't open up to me like that, she just said she had therapy.
   "Delilah says we should go as the power puff girls, she comes back tonight."
     I read the message aloud to Xiomara, surprisingly the grinch was very fond of the idea.
   Don't tell Xiomara that I called her the Grinch, she would kill me if she found out.
  "Actually, what if we went as the Hogwarts house?"
   I suggested, Xiomara looked at me and nodded but we didn't know who would be the fourth house.
   "Imma call Kylee up, she'll probably want to go as a group."
   Xiomara told me as she took her phone out and dialed the number, I waited patiently and then Xiomara gave me a thumbs up.
   I squealed and began to look for costumes that would fit the idea and luckily I did, I ordered them from Amazon.
   "Our costumes come tomorrow night."
I informed Xiomara as I messages Delilah that we had a change of plans.
   "We should do some workouts."
     I brought up, I was way too bored and thought that working out would be a good way to kill time, except Xiomara looked at me and then sighed.
   "I'm better now, I promise you that I'm just bored."
   I realized what she thought I meant but I was truly getting better, I mean what type of role model would I be if I continued doing what I did to my brother?
   A very bad one, that's what kind of role model I'd be.
    "Alright, what are we looking for then?"
  Xiomara asked as we walked downstairs with the baby monitor, Alana was fast asleep in her room.
   My dad was at his new job which was acting, although he wasn't going to be in the new Teen Wolf movie, he is going to be in the new Maze Runner movie.
   I was excited for that, when I watched the maze runner trilogy with my dad, I fell in love with it.
   He bought me the books a couple of months later so I binge read them all, I was content with it all.
   "We should go live and workout."
Xiomara suggested, I nodded and we went live on her account.
  Soon the live was flooded with comments and gifts, it was nice.
   "Someone asked how did Scarlett get so skinny so fast?"
   Xiomara read aloud, I looked at the camera and started laughing like an idiot before answering the question.
    "Thank you, my disorder designed it."
    I finally said between chuckled, Xiomara looked at me like I was some unstable being.
  Then there was some people telling me I shouldn't joke about it and others related while putting their own jokes.
  " Maturing is realizing that you can't make fun of your trauma... I'm not mature, tall stay safe though. "
   Now that made Xiomara laugh, I hugged her tightly and grabbed the TV remote to put on a workout video.
   We were going to do an hourglass workout because everyone has an hourglass body at school, I wanted one as well.
     After an hour later, I turned the TV off as I yelped in pain.
   My legs and sides were so sore, I laid down on the ground and looked at Xiomara as she chuckles at my dramatics.
    "Your idea, not mine."
        Xiomara told me as she helped me up, I looked at her and stuck my tongue out before walking upstairs to take a quick shower and feed my brother.
   Atlantis is a sweet and quiet baby, less work for me as well.
      We decided his nickname would be Atlas because it was the original name Jayla and Cora came up with but they didn't like it, I did but they didn't.
   Jaden keeps texting me, saying that when Atlas is about eight, he was going to teach him how to play baseball.
    I, on the other hand, was going to teach my brother how to dance.
  But whose to say Jaden and I can't both teach him our favorite things?
  That was a trick question, the universe has a say in that.
   And it's not a good one.
