Chapter Nine: A Trip Down Memory Lane

So in this chapter, you get an inside look on Eliena and Sammael's life and it is awesome, although I may be biased. The the pic is of Sammael and picture him with a left eyebrow piercing and a tongue ring. Hope you enjoy the chapter.

"Sammy, come on!" Eliena yanked on Samaael's hand, "I promised Danny that I would visit him and that you would try to tolerate him."
"Eli...I can't forgive him for what he did, he threatened the gang." Samaael stood his ground, "I know he is your brother..." Samaael was conflicted between his loyalty to his gang and his love for his fiancée.
"Samaael please, it's just because he realized I'm not a little girl anymore. That I have someone else to protect me now. It was only he and I for so long...please..." Eliena looked up at Samaael, "if you won't come with me, I'll just go by myself." It was probably a low blow because he was always so worried about her and didn't want her to be alone for fear something bad might happen to her. Samaael sighed glancing down at her,
"Fine. That was low, have you forgotten what almost happened?" Samaael's eyes were like steel and his face rigid as he remembered.
"Of course I haven't, and I never will." Eliena wrapped her short arms around Samaael's muscular body and buried her head in his chest, willing the past away, but she failed as she slipped into the memory.

Eliena was browsing Forever 21 with her girls, Serena and Galstice, she hadn't intended to buy anything because she just wanted to windowshop.
"You should buy this Liena! It would make your eyes pop," Galstice exclaimed holding up a champagne coloured off-the-shoulder shirt with a black heart on the front.
"I'm good Stice, I just want to windowshop." Galstice pouted as she put the shirt back.
"Let's go get Jamba Juice," Serena smiled, "I'm craving their Caribbean Passion."
"Craving? What are you, pregnant?" Galstice teased.
"Just because I'm the only one sexually active with my boyfriend does not mean that I'm pregnant. Far from it, on the pill." Serena glanced at Eliena and winked, "you got a fiancée, have you two done it yet?" Eliena's face flushed deeply and she covered her hands with her face.
"I hate you Rena!"
"Let's head to the food court, Miss Sexually Active and Miss Virgin," Galstice laughed.

"I would like a Strawberry Whirl regular, please" Eliena ordered with a smile.
"A Carribbean Passion for me."
"And a Peach Pleasure for me." After a couple minutes, the three girls had their smoothies and began to walk leisurely around the mall. A phone chimed and Galstice took out her phone.
"My girl is texting me. Gotta get home." She walked in front of Eliena and Serena and stopped to look at them, "honestly, I don't get what the buzz is about boys. Girls are so much cuter, especially my girlfriend Anelia. Well, byes girls, my bunny awaits." Galstice giggled as she walked away.
"You have to admit, Anelia and Galstice are a super cute couple."
"That they are." Serena confirmed. The two girls then walked together until they exited the malls, and parted ways.
"See you later Liena!" Serena waved with arms in a big motion making Eliena laugh.
"Bye Rena." Eliena smiled and turned around as she started her way home.

As Eliena walked home, the sun shone brightly and made her glad that she wore her hat today as she wasn't blinded by the sun. She looked at her prominent shadow and noticed one not far behind her, and it was getting closer. She sped up her strode a bit and the shadow kept up with her, and followed her. Eliena tried her best not to panic, but it was getting harder to stay calm. There was one more street she had to cross and then she would be in her neighborhood. An arm wrapped itself around her waist and yanked her backwards into the somewhat shaded alley, and a hand gripped around her hand before she could make a sound. Once in the alley she saw two other men, they were far more terrifying than Samaael which was saying something because he was one of the most terrifying guys in the gang. The guy on the left had long black hair and two scars that made a grotesque X on his face and the other was bald and a scar going across his right eye to the left of his lip. She was then pushed to the ground and a cry of pain left her as she was able to see the man that was behind her, he had a black and red Mohawk with bloodshot eyes.
"Ooh, she is nice." X scar grinned.
"That she is. Innocent looking too, perhaps a virgin." Eye scar smirked with a malevolent look in his eyes, "nice picking Theo." he said to red Mohawk. They closed in on her.
"She is also engaged, look at that ring on her finger. Damn." Theo said as he pinned her arms down. With her arms demobilized, she kicked her legs and hit X scar right between his legs, he fell to the ground clutching his family's jewels.
"You bitch, this will most definitely be exciting for us." Not missing a beat, X scar pulled down his pants and moved to her head, "I will fuck your mouth, and you will enjoy it." Eliena whimpered as he slapped her cheek hard, "move your legs again and this pretty face will be sliced up." And the next second a switchblade was against her throat. She closed her eyes and tried to forget that Eye scar was trying to take off her jeans, she pictured Samaael and tried to focus on him.
"What the hell, don't you see that we are busy pal?!" Someone shouted, probably Eye scar or X scar.
"I can see that, but that is my fiancée that you three are trying to gang rape." A voice like steel growled. A familiar steel like voice, who was it? It was so familiar, but it hurt to think. She started to open her eyes, "keep your eyes shut Eliena!" The steel like voice shouted at her and she obeyed keeping them shut.
"Come on punks, let's see if you can defeat me." She no longer felt hands on her thighs, meaning that Eye scar had gone first to battle the intruder.
"You are going to be sorry." Eye scar shouted as he punched the intruder's stomach and was stopped just his fist made contact, next moment he was on the ground groaning ten feet away.
"Whose next ladies." Both X scar and Theo glared at him. And next was X scar.
"You bastard!" Before X scar even lifted a fist, he was knocked out against the wall. Theo's grip around Eliena's wrists tightened as held both her wrists in his big hand so he could hold X scar's switchblade. He lifted her up and held the switchblade to her neck.
"You don't want to do that, it won't go over well. It will end up with that switchblade in your guts."
"I'm the one with all the power, I hold this girl's life in my hands and you will do what I say." He pressed the knife closer to her neck, enough to make a small nick.
"No you won't, you got the tattoos and the 'hawk, but you look like a wannabe. I'm the real thing." He began walking toward the two and Theo backed up,
"Stay back! I will slit her throat and her blood will be on your hands."
"Actually, it will be on your hands because I'm not the one touching her, you are."
"Don't be a fucking smart ass." In a whoosh, Samaael was behind Theo and the switchblade was gone from Theo's hands and in his hands.
"Told you." With a gentle, yet firm hand, he pushed Eliena away from Theo. Keeping her eyes shut, Eliena steadied herself carefully. The switchblade was then sunk into Theo, "you don't mess with my girl, you do and it won't be pretty." Samaael then dropped the switchblade and walked over to Eliena, gently wrapping his arms around her pulling her to his chest. "Good girl, you can open your eyes now." He whispered softly into her ear. Eliena slowly opened and looked him deep in his eyes,
"Samaael..." With that, she finally broke down in sobs and clutched his shirt tightly with her head buried in his chest. He held her tight in his arms and stroked her hair,
"It's okay Eli, I'm here now." Samaael picked her bridal style and proceeded to walk home, now in the safety of his arms Eliena let herself cry not holding anything back, "I will always be here for you. I love you Eliena," Those were the last words she heard before she finally succumbed to the sleep that beckoned her.

Eliena began crying again as she clutched him tightly in her hands as she came out of the memory,
"It's okay Eli, that's in the past and I won't ever leave you," knowing that she had just relived the memory, "I love you Eliena, so much." Samaael kissed the top of her head.
"I love you too Sammy," she smiled and stood on her tiptoes and kissed his chin.
"Thanks for the chin kiss, shorty." He teased as he bent his head down for her and she sniffled then kissed his mouth. "Let's go see your brother."
"Really?" Eliena's eyes widened.
"Yep, lets go shorty." She giggled with a bright smile on her face.

"Hey Danny, how are you?" Eliena smiled as she sat next to Danolo on the couch that was put into his new room.
"I'm as good as anyone who is confined to a room can be," Danolo smiled and hugged his sister, and then glanced at Samaael who leaned against the wall and laughed.
"Samaael, man are you a ray of sunshine." Samaael's expression remained one of steel. Eliena laughed.
"Yeah, it took a lot to convince him to come, but he won't talk. He's still bitter about the betrayal." Danolo nodded.
"I can understand that." Then turned back to his sister, "how is Mr. Steel Eyes here treating you?" Eliena laughed at the name he referred to Samaael.
"He's treating me fine, still really overprotective from what happened, but I don't mind. I like his attention focused on me." She smiled.
"Of course he is overprotective about that, you were attacked and almost gang raped. He loves you deeply or you wouldn't be engaged to him, and he puts your needs and wants before his own." Eliena looked over at Samaael and he smiled tenderly at her with a soft look in his eyes. "He has changed a lot from when he first met you. And for the good." Eliena's phone chimed and she glanced at it, she blushed a bit.
"Oh...um..." Eliena blushed even further as she glanced at Samaael who winked at her. "Um, sorry Danny. We have to...uh...go. We'll be back in a couple days." Eliena and Danolo stood up, they hugged, "bye Danny, love you big brother." She smiled.
"See ya Elie, I love you too." Eliena and Samaael then left the room.
"Eliena!!!" Eliena jumped in surprise when her name shouted and saw Aliana waving her over, she placed a hand over her fast beating heart. Samaael laughed and patted her head softly.
"Girl sure does know to scare people."
"No kidding. I'm going to talk with Aliana a little bit before we leave. You can go talk with Cassiel and his brothers if you want. Get caught up on your bro-time." She smiled.
"Alright, go have your fun. Then we have have our fun." He grinned darkly and winked at her, and her face flushed deeply once again. He then groped her butt a bit then pushed her towards Aliana with a smile on her face. Eliena's face was beet red as she made her way over to Aliana.
"Hey girl, how's your brother?" Aliana asked as she looped her arm through Eliena's.
"Good, still doesn't like Samaael and vice versa. How's Cassiel?"
"Much better, he realized he much preferred to be with me and protect me rather than watch from afar and protect me" Aliana giggled with a smile.
"We should hang out sometime, we only see each other at the gang Headquarters." Eliena hip-bumped Aliana and elicited a laugh from her.
"Definitely, I don't have many girlfriends other than you." Eliena gasped, "what?" Aliana looked at her with a confused face.
"I gotta introduce you to Serena and Galstice then, Galstice is the most blunt and open girl, she attributes it to her being a lesbian. She is super awesome and Serena, not sure how to describe her. You'll see when you meet them." She winked and Aliana laughed.
"I can't wait."
"Awesome, I'll schedule it and let you know!" Eliena then squealed when she felt strong arms wrap around her waist and pull to against an equally strong chest.
"Whatcha talking about sweet girl?" Samaael asked huskily as he nuzzled her neck with his face. Eliena flushed and felt her knees weaken. Aliana laughed and Eliena glared at her. "Hey Aliana." He nodded his head in her direction and gave her the slightest smile. It had taken a long time for Samaael to warm up her and she was glad for it, he was a great person. It was mainly because she had grow with Cassiel and his brothers, and that she knew Eliena.
"Um...hanging out," Eliena whispered, "Aliana and I only see each at Headquarters, so we are thinking of hanging out of Headquarters." Samaael nodded his head.
"Sounds good and will you walk with Aliana home?" The hidden question was evident to her and she nodded.
"I'm gonna go find Cas, see you two later." Aliana waved as she turned and found Cassiel chatting with his brothers. She walked up to him and jumped on his back, all three brothers laughed and smiled, that was big for Morain as she didn't show emotion often.
"Hey there, sugar." Cassiel smiled and moved his hands behind him to rest under her butt to support her, and gently squeezed which earned him a slap on the chest.
"Hi Cas." She kissed his cheek and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
"Aliana! What the fuck are you doing?!" A loud shout rang out in the lobby and all eyes turned to the source.

Wow! Longest chapter yet at nearly 2400 words. So how did everyone like Samilena? Especially the memory flashback, Sammael and Eliena are a really cute couple. A bit of a cliffhanger, wonder who the shouter is??? ;)
