Aliana whimpered as she turned to face the bathroom, she needed to go badly, but it hurt so much to move.

"Cas," She cried out wondering where he went, "where are you?" A few moments later, Cassiel walked into her room with a tray of food.

"Ali, what's wrong?" He said with a worried tone as he set down the tray on the ottoman in front of her bed and knelt by the bed.

"I need to go to the bathroom..." He kissed her forehead and helped her sit up and placed a hand under her knees and the other around her shoulder being careful not to touch the bandage on her back, he picked her up. Aliana let out a cry and Cassiel's expression tightened.

"I'm sorry..." He gently walked to the bathroom, set her down on the toilet, and closed the door behind him. Cassiel leaned against the wall next to to the door and sighed, Aliana was in so much pain because of King and he hated seeing the look of hurt and pain cross her face each time she moved. The doctor had said that it would take a month to heal, that she would have scars, and he also prescribed pain meds, but she had refused them because she didn't like the way they made her feel.

"I'm done." Cassiel stood up, opened the door, and went to Aliana. She sat on a closed toilet lid and smiled softly at him, he crouched in front of her and kissed her nose making her giggle.

"I missed that sound, you should laugh more." He hugged her and then picked her up, "Morain is coming soon to give you some food to quote "make you happy", he's bringing flan." He winked at her and nuzzled his nose in her neck. Aliana looked up at him with a gentle smile.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For everything, you and your family do so much for me..." Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Ali...there is no need to thank me or our family. We love you deeply and will always be there for you."

He sat down on the bed and placed her on his lap.

"Our?" She smiled and laid her head on his chest.

"Yes, mom has been planning our wedding since middle school," Cassiel laughed. "You basically became a Dallesandro when Viktor brought you here after your father split, you took my heart in sixth grade when you smiled brightly at mom when she bought you a new dress." Aliana gasped.

"You still remember that?"

"Of course I do, I remember everything. Especially when you not so subtly hinted that I should take you to the homecoming dance when you were in eighth grade because I was a freshmen." Aliana's cheeks flushed deeply in embarrassment as she hid her face in his chest. "The anger I felt when I saw a bruise on your wrist on your first day as a freshmen and you just wouldn't tell because you didn't want to burden me...then I find out two years later that It was King bullying you."

"It's all my fault, if I told you then King wouldn't be a problem right now and this wouldn't have happened..." Aliana hung her head. Cassiel put his index finger under her chin and lifted it up.

"It's not your fault, if anything it's mine. I shouldn't have pushed you away because I wanted to protect you, I should've pulled you to my side." He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight.

"It's none of your faults, it's only King's. All the blame goes to to him." A new voice said and Cassiel turned around to see his older brother, Morain.
