Clint: a way we can make the doctor feel safe and at home is if we can be less intimidating!
Natasha: I'm pretty she ,the doctor, a time traveling warrior/protector of the universe who is like, a million years old, isn't intimidated by a bunch of human babies
Tony: *grumbles*we aren't babies

Natasha: no, bird brain. She's the wisest person we know. She is around 7000 years old. Compared to our age and knowledge/intelligence, we are children to her
Tony: I think I know why the doctor never really befriends anyone
Clint: why?
Tony: she's like, what, 7000 years old, right? How many humans has she befriended in her life time? A lot is my guess. Being her species, she ages slowly, then when it is her time, she regenerates. What about those humans? They age faster than her and don't regenerate. She has watched basically her family grow old and die while she barely ages. Imagine how broke her heart is. She doesn't want to make friendships so she doesn't have to feel more pain
Steve: dear hell we just pushed her into more heart break
