"Let's hear it for these moms! And it's down to the wire here with the Ducks and the Don't bothers." Coach T says as everyone cheers.

"Okay people, let's do the wave." Koob tells us as the moms skate.

"I like the new Koob." Sam tells us.

"Yeah!" Nick says.

Logan starts the wave but it only ends up to Lauren and then no one else in the stands does it.

"That's kind of sad." I whisper in Logan's ear making us both laugh.

"We got number eight for the Ducks rounding the corner against Gibby's mom." Coach T says as they both start skating pucks in between cones.  Everyone's cheering and being very loud.

Surprise, surprise the Ducks win.

We all sigh and sit back in our seats.

"Next up, target shooting." Coach T says as Lauren Gibby's mom shoots the puck in the net and gets it at every aim. We are tied 5-5.

"It's levelled at 5-5 and it all comes down to the slap shot challenge. Shooting for the Ducks, it's our reigning champion, Stephanie Reddick. Who'll be facing off against my old friend Alex Morrow. Three shots. Highest speed on a single shot wins. Stephanie, you're up first." Coach T tells.

Stephanie goes up and shoots her puck at 35 miles and hour.

Then Alex goes up. Us Don't Bothers cheer as loud as we can for Alex. She shoots her puck at 26 miles and hour. A lot of people groan but I clap my hands.

Stephanie goes for her second go and gets 37 miles and hour.

Alex does hers and gets 23 miles an hour.

Stephanie does her last go and gets 40 miles an hour.

Alex goes for her last go and gets 41 miles and hour. We all jump out of our seats and cheer and hug and I don't even know what.

"Coach! Coach! Coach! Come here! Look at this!" One of the dads on the Ducks team shows him a video.

"Excuse me. Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention, please. Upon further review, Alex's skate crossed the line. Doesn't count. Ducks moms win!" Coach T says.

"That's Bullshit!" I shout loud enough that everyone hears me and looks at me. I shift my body behind Logan and imagine I was never there.

Sofi walks away to her dad in defeat.

Every one cheers apart from the Don't Bothers.

We all eventually leave and it ends up being Logan and I, again. This happens every time.

"I don't think it mattered that Alex's skate was off the line." I moan.

"Yeah, we could tell by your reaction." He chuckles and we both start to walk.

"I wasn't that loud." I shrug.

"Oh, yeah? Tell that to everyone in the stands who went quiet and looked at you then you hid behind me." He swung his arm around my shoulder.

"I only hid behind you cause you were the closest person." I nudge him.

"Sure. Hey, there's my dad." He says.

"Oh, okay. There's my dad too. Well, I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask.

"Yeah, see you tomorrow." He takes his arm off of my shoulder.

"Yeah, bye." I start to walk away.

"Wait, Y/n." I turn around.

"Bye." He says and quickly kisses my cheek and walks away.

I stand there probably looking like an idiot.

I smile and walk to my dad's car.

I get in and turn my face to the window.

My smile is not going away.

"I saw that kiss you know. When I was your age I was kissing girls on the lips not the cheek." He starts to drive.

I ignore him and fall asleep.
