She took a quick shower, changed into a nice set of jeans and a t-shirt. Sparrow slung her backpack over her back and picked out a banana to eat when walking to school. The living room was cold, dark, and empty.

Her father always turned the temperature down at night. Sparrow could turn on the lights, but she never bothered because she'd have to flick them back off before she left. Once upon a time, she would keep the lights on because her older brother liked it that way, but he was gone now. She slipped into her old pair of tennis shoes and walked out the door. Sparrow's mind was distracted as she walked to school.

The idea of making a whole new pack was overwhelming. She would have to recruit, find a place to meet, make them all get along, and ensure that the pack was on the same page. She'd have to do the ceremonies, and meetings, and make sure everyone got along with everyone else.

She sighed as she continued walking. Arwin and Lily appeared at her side as Sparrow passed their house.

"Hello!" Lily chirped.

 "Hey Sparrow!" Arwin nodded.

"What's up?" asked Arwin.

"Nothing really," Sparrow lied.

The truth was that she was worried that she wouldn't be able to make a new pack work, but she didn't say that out loud.

"So what's new with you guys?" Sparrow asked, trying to make small talk.

"I got a new bike!" Lily said excitedly.

"Do you want to see it?"

"Sure," Sparrow shrugged.

Lily pulled out her phone and began swiping through pictures.

"Your old one met it's demise on a curb, right?" Sparrow asked.

Lily nodded. "Yeah, the handle bars were ruined, but the wheels were still good," Lily said, still swiping through the pictures.

"Here it is!" Lily said, triumphantly.

"That's a nice bike," Sparrow commented.

"It looks like a bike I had when I was little." Lily smiled.

"Yeah, I found it at second hand store, it was a little scratched up, but I sprayed it and it looks perfect now!"

"I'm glad it worked out," Sparrow respond.

"Oh!" sparrow exclaimed as she pulled out her phone.

 She remembered something.

"I'm making a group chat for the pack," Sparrow explained.

"I'll put you two on it. If you see anyone else from the pack, make sure to add them as well."

Sparrow continued walking with Arwin and Lily as they chatted about Lily's Health Science class.

Sparrow was glad she had made the decision to recruit them for her new pack. She knew they would be able to help her out. She just hoped that the rest of the pack would be as easy to get along with.

Sparrow walked into her first block class, and was immediately greeted by Josh.

"Oh! Hi there," Sparrow said as he waddled up to her.

"Hi!" he said, a little too loudly.

Sparrow winced and tried to edge away from him, but he followed her.

She pulled out her phone, "Hey, what's your number? I want to add you to the group chat for FrozenPack."

"Oh! Cool! That sounds cool!" Josh replied hurriedly.
