"Lena you ready?" Mrs. white said peeking in the door.
"As ready as i'm going to get" i replied.
I am 16 years old and i have been in and out of this orphanage since I was three. Yes, I know who my mother and father are but every time they come and get me it doesn't work out. I have never been actually adopted before it's just been an back and forth process with my parents so this will be my first family. It may not seem like it but i am actually very excited. To me this is a new beginning, new family, new friends, and hopefully no toxic feelings.
"Hurry now, we don't want to keep them waiting" Mrs. White said.
I grabbed my bag and two suitcases and headed out the door. Mrs. White and I headed to the front where the family was waiting for me at. There were two kids (a boy and a girl) that looked like they were around my age, a woman, and a man. The woman was 5'2, black, had brown curly hair, and a pretty smile. The man was about 6'2, white, roughly 235lbs, and had brown hair but it was cut low. I didn't really pay attention to the boy but i noticed that the girl was very pretty like really pretty.
"Hi, i'm Mrs. Reign" the lady said with a big smile.
I waved shyly.
"We have a lil surprise set up for you so whenever your ready we can head out" she said.
I nodded before turning to Mrs.White. I leaned both of my suitcase against the counter before giving Mrs.White and big hug and whispering "I'll miss you so much" to her. Mrs. White would always comfort me whenever i came back from my mom and she was just there for me all those years. "I'm always here, i put my number in your bag" she whispered back.
We then let each other go and I grabbed my suitcases before walking towards the family and leaving with them.

The whole was really quiet except when Mrs.Reign asked me questions like "What do you like to do?" and "What's your favorite food?" you know trying to get to know me while a making small talk.
We pulled into this driveway that felt like it took forever just to get to the actual house. The driveway itself was a long path. The house was castle like but also like an modern old home.
Once we finally parked and got out they helped me grab my things then we headed into the house. It was very nice and clean in the inside, it smelled sooooo good like brown sugar and cinnamon. Mrs. Reign showed me to my room upstairs it was so amazing that it had and other door to walk through but it was in the same room. In the other room she put games and couches in it. And the view out of my window was so beautiful it's like i loved on top of the world and i can see so much from here the city lights were so beautiful. I can also tell either Mrs. Reign was a tiktok mom or the girl helped her because it looked very aesthetically put together.
