Chapter 9 Thank you

Tina was waiting patiently for Rocky to arrive. Even though Willy responded first, Tina insisted that Rocky come in. Willy was confused but made no question as to why she only wanted Rocky.

Willy simply nodded and allowed Tina to rest as she waited.

Rocky climbed the stairs and made his way to Tina's room.

"Whatever this is about, it better be worth it. I, still, have lots to do to that bathroom.", Rocky thought to himself.

Rocky stopped as he found himself next to Willy at the top of the stairs.

"Tina insisted that she talk to you. I don't know why, but, she said that she is waiting for you.", Willy remarked. Rocky sighed. "Yes, I figured. I want to know what she needs me to do.", Rocky replied, mildly. This was not a lie as Rocky was wondering why Tina wanted him and only him to visit her.

Well, only one way to find out.

Rocky approached the room and saw Tina.

She was very pale.

She looked like she had no strength and looked worse than before. She sneezed and sniffled before reaching for a tissue. She stopped herself before she could grab one as she saw Rocky enter.

"Hey, Rocky, thanks for coming.", she said. She went into a small coughing fit before continuing. "I just wanted you here so I could say thank you for helping us.", she said.

She paused. She sniffled and sneezed before continuing.

"I know that helping us is a struggle and that you don't like us and don't care. But, I want you to know, that you have good in you and you helping us out with this proves it. Please..., continue and do good..."

Tina drifted off to sleep as her strength faded. Rocky stared for a moment before turning away.

Why did Tina thank him? Why did she assume he even wanted to do this? Rocky hated it.

But, was there something more? Did he truly have good in him?

Did he do this because he had some good in him or because he was afraid of being locked up by Willy?

Was he... good? No.. he couldn't be

...right?
