First off, I really don't know how to feel about this one.

Were one of the the first words Kokushibo told you right after you confessed to him.

It wasn't exactly the type of thing you'd expect him to say to you right off the bat but considering him, you might as well have. You could lie to yourself by saying that he means it but by the way he made it sound totally contradicted everything you wanted to believe.

Along with your bored gaze comes the cold breeze in the air the smell of blood around you wafting in the breeze as you closed your eyes, really not feeling the rather festive mood of the other demons right at the town nearby.

The lack of warmth at such evening left you and your thoughts alone as you perched on a branch of some random tree, the hunger you had becoming a bit evident as you decided not to eat yet out of laziness.

No one's gonna scold you anyways so might as well make the most out of it.

But then again, you really don't need anyone to scold you just so you'd eat.

"Could you come out of there now?" you asked loudly the sound of your voice echoing through the empty forest right out to the plains that stretched right after it.

It took a full minute for the person, or rather demon, to come out as you sighed to yourself muttering things about non-existant privacy and whatnot.

Kaigaku stood from behind you with a somewhat embarrassed face as you looked at him, your face displaying no emotion whatsoever.

He noticed you weren't there back at the village and since only the both of you uppermoons and some other demons are there he thought it would be a good time to talk about what was happening. He was never the easiest one to talk to anyways but since both of you can actually tolerate each other, it's basically a win-win situation at this point.

And besides, to him, seeing you being sad like that just makes him annoyed as he would've said it.

Or better yet, he doesn't like seeing you sad.

"You're still sulking here? Are you that sad or something?" he asked clearly not knowing what else to say since he thought he could make it sound better if you weren't staring at him like you just saw the biggest germ in your life.

"I'm just thinking about some stuff which, is none of your business anyways."

Saying so you went back to staring right in front of you as he just stared at your back wondering if you can still feel anything by the way you're acting as of the moment.

"You do know that he had to go right after your little confession, right? He was probably just hurrying up and maybe that's why he said that to you... You know what, forget it." he reasoned out as you rolled your eyes in an offish manner.
