Chapter 9

"Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."

"So is the rumour true? Are you really going on a join tour with the One Direction boys?" Allan asked her, raising his eyebrow.

"Yeah. I guess?" she replied, shrugging her shoulders. Allan returns it with a confused look.

"You guess? What, you hate One Direction? Or do you have no idea who they are?" he asked. Amara chuckled at his question.

"For the love of God Allan, I'm not stupid! 'Course I know who they are! It's just that I've known the boys for quite a long time now so it's a normal thing, going on tour with them and stuff" she said, making the audience laugh lightly at her reply.

"You talk about going on tour with One Direction like it's the most normal thing in the world. It's like you're telling me about your walk with your dog" Allan said, shaking his head.

"That's bullshit Allan, we both know that I'm a cat person" Amara replied with a serious expression, making the audience laugh again.

"Let's not go there Amara. We all know that dogs are much more cooler than cats. Anyway.." Allan said. Amara just glared at him before lightly touching her ear with a confuse expression.

"What? I'm sorry Allan. I can't hear your bullshit" she said, shaking her head making everyone laugh.

The boys and I are in the living room, watching The Allan Carr Show. I am lying on the couch while the others sit on the floor, eating snacks like it's the end of the world. I swear to God, if we don't stop eating these junkies, we'll be in the next season of The Biggest Loser.

I stare at the TV screen, not wanting to miss a moment. I don't understand. Why am I so addicted to her? Is addicted the right word? Yeah, I think so. Her hair falls over her shoulder as she reaches out to grab some hazelnuts. She simply tossed it into her mouth before talking about God knows what with Allan. See, even when she does the simplest thing, I would pay as much attention I can to watch her every move and I'll remember what she did for the next couple of weeks before my memory decided to let that one go and replace it with another simple thing she did. It's crazy and creepy at the same time, but I like it.

"I also heard that you were very close to the boys before this tour thing. You even dated one of them! Am I right?" Allan's question makes me held my breath. I can feel that the boys are staring at me, but I just keep my gaze at the TV screen, waiting for Amara's reaction.

"Ah sneaky. Does every interviewer want to know about my love life?" she asked between chuckles. There's no sign of nervousness or awkwardness from her, I wonder how she does that. Most girls will be blushing like crazy if they're in her spot right now.

"Don't try to change the subject Amara. I know you love to do that to everyone when people bring up this topic" Allan said, pointing his index finger at Amara. Everybody laughs at Allan's words.

"Okay, dad" Amara mumbled before continuing.

"Well, let's see, the first time I had a real conversation with the boys was almost three years ago. We became good friends and I hang out with them almost all the time, but then my dad got transferred to LA and the whole family move to LA. Since then, I don't really talk much to the boys, heck, I don't even know what their Twitter was! And then all of a sudden, Simon called my manager and he started to talk about this join tour with One Direction and stuff" Amara explained before taking a deep breath.
