The next few days went on as usual, but I couldn't stop thinking about that vision. He was so fixed on seeking revenge, it was like something I hadn't seen before. He was different from all the other villains I had seen in those dark rooms. I didn't know how else to describe it.

I had been avoiding most of my friends. I hadn't really been sleeping either. Sonic has tried to stop by multiple times, but I usually find ways to keep him away. Shadow has been reaching out but I haven't answered. I feel bad but I'm too tired and torn from that allusion.

I haven't slept since that encounter. Which was almost three nights ago. I'm exhausted. I've been making coffee regularly to keep myself awake but it's just not working anymore. Not to mention all of these hedgehogs reaching out to me, Silver and Scourge too.

My phone beeped for probably the hundredth time.

Sonic: Yo, can you at least let me in for some chili dogs?!

I let out a exhale sort of laughter and put my phone away. I hoped he would just leave it at that and leave it alone. Shadow knew not to push me past my limits, but the others weren't getting the hint.

Sonic: I know you saw that!

Slightly startled, I glanced around to make sure I was by myself. I was.

Sonic: Wrong spot.

My eyes widened as I struggled to maintain my balance. How the hell did he get in my house?! I had locked all my doors and windows, and I would've heard if he broke in.

"You already looked there!" I heard a voice from behind me, unenthusiastically. Sure enough, the speed demon himself was standing there yawning.

"How did you get here?!" I shoved his chest, scolding him. He waved his hands in defense and sweat dropped.

"Woah! Calm down! I used one of Tails lock-pickers to break in! I locked up after me!

Almost immediately after he said that, Scourge walked into my room calmly, looking all flashy as usual and whistling.

"I thought you locked it!" I yelled.

"That thing was locked? I got in no problem." Scourge pulled his sunglasses down and inspected Sonic. I face-palmed, already done with this situation.

"Great! Now I'm going to have like twenty people roaming in my house!"

"Well, maybe if you left your house we wouldn't have to!" Sonic argued, genuinely upset about my lacking in presence.

"What is this, a convention? I just needed a little vacation." I lied. Scourge and Sonic were clearly in pure disbelief.

"Vacation, my ass. You would need to wear my glasses to cover up those eye bags, toots." Scourge pointed at his eyes, and Sonic agreed. Both of them held looks of concern on their faces but I really didn't want to talk about it. And I especially couldn't with Scourge.

"It's makeup." I suggested.

"You don't wear makeup." Sonic glared at me, fed up with my lying.

"Fine. Shut the door and I'll talk."

Thankfully, Scourge and Sonic both ran almost immediately towards the doorway. And if it weren't for their super speed, I would've shut it right behind them, but they had that advantage over me.

Unfortunately...

"So, what's up?" Scourge asked, coming back with Sonic.

I didn't really know how to tell Scourge. He didn't have these visions, and wouldn't understand. It honestly would've been more convenient if it was just me and Sonic, but I couldn't really kick him out.

I gave Sonic a look to let him know. He stared at me, eyes wide for a moment before nodding.

"Hey, Scourge?" Sonic asked while peering down at his phone.

"What?" He took his gaze off of me and looked at him.

"Your ex, Fiona, she—uh, she's at our house right now." Sonic exclaimed, acting fake amazed. I had to admit, the acting was good.

"What?!" He yelped in terror.

"She says to go there or else she's taking your 'Hugo magazines'?" Sonic arched a brow, confused. Scourge only panicked more at the mention of his dear magazines and was about ready to book it.

"Y/N, will you be alright if it's just Sonic? That bitch's gone crazy!" He yelled, angered, clutching his fists.

"Um, sure. Go ahead." I held back a smirk.

"Great. I'll call ya!" And just like that, the green hedgehog had zipped out of the house and left as fast as I noticed he came. I was absolutely flabbergasted by Sonic's ability to do such things.

"Wow, that was good."

"No more distractions. What happened?" The smile on my face was wiped and I hesitated to reach out. But I didn't really have much choice. He just did all of that.

"I saw Infinite, but it was different. He was powerful and hungry. He said some terrible things, Sonic. He said cruel things about everyone, and threatened everyone. He's smart too. I'm actually scared..."

Sonic had a neutral look on his face. I couldn't really read his next motive, but I hoped it was one of comfort or advice. I was seriously stressing over the Infinite situation, when I could've been sleeping and socializing. He was destroying me.

"I remember him. He's a total loner! You have nothing to worry about, Y/N. Me and my friends got rid of him and we can do it again. I'm telling ya, all he really needs is a friend." Sonic was actually smiling, and I was quite startled. There was no way that monster just needed 'a friend'. Hell, I doubt he was even capable of having one. But if Sonic supposed he was so weak, then I guess I didn't have anything to worry about.

Still...

"I was going to stay the night anyway. Whether you like it or not. So we'll have the same vision, and I can talk with this Jackal if we see him." Sonic stopped laughing, and smiled patiently at me. I felt a bit better now.

"Thanks, Sonic."

"No problem. But no more of that hiding when you're in need, Y/N! You can always talk to me." He grabbed my hand in a soothing manner and rubbed it with his fingertips. I couldn't help but lightly blush at the contact.

"I'm glad. I'm really tired, though. Do you mind if we sleep now?"

"Not at all!"
