*Fury's POV*
"Teenagers? What are you talking about agent?"
"I'm talking about the mission Tony went on a couple of years ago. To find Virginia Pott's sister but she was already dead the only thing they found was-"
"Ten year old twins. Her kids." I cut her off. "They were too powerful we couldn't control them that's why we sent them away in the first place"
"Yes but they have been in a magic program since them. They have more control now that they are older!" Hill taps on her tablet and on the large screen appears videos of the girl fighting diligently.
"Yes, she's good but what about the boy?"
"He appears to not know how to use his powers yet but he can easily be trained." She adds.
"That girl almost killed my team! They killed their father what makes you think they would want to join this team?"
"Tony gave these to me" she hands me a pile of letters addressed to Tony from the school the children were sent to. " he never opened them, he said it was too hard but I read them. They are from the boy-"
"Roan?"
"Yes, he describes the treatment his sister endures. If you could get them out of there, they will do anything you ask." She looks up at me.
"Hm... good work agent Hill" I start to walk away.
"Sir!" I turn around "even if you don't want them on your team... they don't deserve to be left there." She said confidently with sadness in her face.
I look at the closest agent. " ready a jet for tomorrow morning. I have a birthday present for a special set of twins." I say as the agent scurries away.

When I walk into the "school" I can see why they don't like it here. I tell the warden I will be visiting the twins. I can see the shock on his face, apparently they aren't the most popular. Large guards follow me to the meeting room which is deadbolt locked.
"Just for your protection sir." The warden whispers to me.
"Well I'm sure I can protect myself. That will be all thank you." I shew them away but they stay.
" with all due respect, you have no idea what these kids-"
I cut him off " I know exactly what they can do. That is why I am here. Now if you would excuse me I will be talking to them, Alone." I emphasize.
They hesitate before finally walking away.
When I open the door I see the boy sitting at the metal table patiently while the girl is standing leaning over the table eagerly. I notice she is chained up whereas he is completely free to move.
"Hello, do you know who I am?"
"Why are you here?" She barks.
"You are director Nick Fury, the one who assembled the Avengers and you run Shield" he says calmly.
"Yes, and to answer your question I am here to present you with an opportunity."
"We don't want it." She barks again.
He grabs her arm and she sits down in the seat still not taking her eyes off of me as I move to sit down as well.
"What are you proposing?" He asks.
"I want you to join my team-" I barely get out before the girl bursts into laughter.
"You!" She clutches her stomach still laughing "you want us to... to join you.... The people who ruined our lives before they even started!" She says taking pauses to laugh in between her words.
Her brother just looks at me like he's trying to tell if I'm lying.
"Yes. In return I will get you out of here." I state calmly.
The room shifts dramatically. She stops laughing and he turns pale in the face. Then her brows furrow and she stands again.
"Whatever sick game you are playing, don't!" She spits at me.
"I am not tricking you. It's your choice but I will inform you, you will have to work closely with the avengers." I say.
I can hear myself breath in the silence that follows, while they think about it. They exchange looks as if they are speaking telepathically.
"You actually want us?" The boy asks.
"Yes as long as you don't kill my team, I will keep you out of this place."
They think again exchanging confused looks.
"Fine but on our terms." She says. "There will be things that we need. Rooms, vacations, etc. "
"Of course."
"When do we get out?" The boy asks timidly.
I look at my watch. "Now." And the door lock clicks open.
The two look between the door and I in disbelief.
A guard angrily walks in and unlocks the chains on the girl.
Her face softens as she looks noticeably healthier and calmer. Instantly the visible scars and bruises on her body are healed and her hair turns white as snow. The boy looks at her proudly and they lock hands.
Before we walk out Roan (the boy) says he needs to grab some things from his room and runs down the hall leaving me and River (the girl). I'm guessing she has no belongings or she just doesn't want to have a reminder of this place because she doesn't go to retrieve her items. Instead she turns to me and her slight smile turns cold and hard as stone.
"If you screw us over I will murder everyone you have ever know and make you watch. Then I am going to do everything these people." She motions to the school. "Have ever done to Roan and I, to you." She hold eye contact with me for a moment before we hear footsteps and she turns on her heels smiling at her brother. I stand there as they walk out and into the jet.
I think I'm going to like these kids more than I thought I would. As we left I had a stealth team go in and arrest everyone working in the facility.
The least I could do for these kids was make sure nobody else will go through what they did... but they don't need to know just yet.Yay! We are about to see more of the Avengers and things will start to come together very soon! 🧡🧡
